I had to have 1.1 cc's taken out of my 4 cc band. I have gained 2.5 pounds in 3 weeks. I have a swalow in the morning wish me well:thumbup: if all is well I will get a fill in Indy Tuesday!!! Surgery date 8/15/07

Hi, I am 14 mounths out. A size 12 is a faint glimmer for me. I fit real well into a P large top, but pants are a solid 16WP. I do not mean to be negaive, I only buy what fits at the time. Granted I am not always happy :frown:with that, but I am usually to blame (too much wine). It is much better than the size 20/22 I was wearing!!! Always look at the up suide we are not gaining.

I think $17,000 for self pay.

I was banded a year ago by Dr. Calrk and love him. He has several offices you can see him at. Good luck and welcome to Indiana!

I started loosing my hair after three months. I got nioxin shampoo and conditioner. I don't know if it helped or if my hair just stoped falling out on it's own. Hang in there and talk to your dietician.

My Dr. always tells me exactly what he is doing and how many cc's he is putting in. I now have 3.1 cc's in a 4 cc band. My fills are very small due to having the small band. The last one was only .2 cc's. I am pretty tight and will not need a fill for quite some time. I do not understand what the secret is and why your Dr. is being so closed mouthed. I like to understand every aspect of my band and how it works. It is your body and your money, so if you really want to know insist the Dr. tell you. I am not fixated on my numbers, but still want to be informed. Good luck.

:thumbup:Today is my 1 year bandanniversary! I have 3.1 cc's in a 4 cc band. It has been a strugly, but I would never go back. I still want to loose 25-30 more lbs. , but realize it will become harder the closer I get to my goal. Hope everyone else is as happy with their band as I am.:biggrin:

No the one week liquid diet is before the surgery.

Sherri, I could choke your dietician!:crying: Is she through Dr. Calrk's office? If not call Amy and find a new one. It is not for her to decide it is the insurance company and Dr. Clark. Yes Dr. Clark did require a 1 week liquid diet. Good luck.

I live in TH and had my band 8/15/08 in Indianapolis Dr. Steven Clark. I love my band and Dr. Clark. I was not aware there were meetings in TH I would love to join. Please let me know times and dates. Good luck to all and let me know if I can help anyone. :crying:

Dr. Clark does fills at his other office on Tuesday mornings and Thursdays afternoons. I like going ther much better.

You are doing great! Give yourself some credit. Try lugging around 26 lbs. of hamburgar and let us know what you think. It will come off in time. Good luck.

My insurance had me do blood work to prove the synthroid was working properly and it was not a problem. I take 75 mcg daily and had the band Aug. 15, 2007. Good luck!

I love my band! I could not loose weight on my own no matter what I did. I have bad days, but would not trade it for anything.:cursing:

I have a 4 cc band. I have lost track of how many fills I have had, but I have 2.9 cc's in it. I am scheduled for a fill next Thursday 7/10/08. I started having restriction around 2.3 cc's. I only get .3 at a time due to having the small band. The Dr. said I will probably only get .1 or .2 for now on. At $200 a fill that is expensive saline, but I would not change a thing I love my band.

I was stuck for the longest time at 40 lbs then 48 and the last fill really did it for me. I have been loosing 1-2 lbs. a week for the past 5 weeks. I hope to keep up the pase.

I have the same problem. I never know day to day what may make me sick. Some times even soft food will not stay down and some days I can eat red meat with no problem. I can not drink 1-2 hours after eating it always causes vomiting. :thumbup: I do not know if I will ever figure it all out. I have totally given up on bread and fast food, however I still eat chocolate. We will just have to take it day by day.

I am at 2.9 cc and fill real restricted. I am scheduled for a fill next Thursday, but probaly will cancel. I am very sensitive to many foods and reflux if I eat past 8 pm. I can eat between 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food at a time. I can never tell and do what my body says. This must be my sweet spot.

Help I am also having reflux at night. I had a scope on my throat last friday. It showed all my meds were getting stuck in my throat. He gave me two new very expensive meds to take. It happened again last night. I also have frequent burning and can not drink anything with ice or my throat closes up. Any advice?

I had surgery Aug. 15, 2007. I can no longer eat bread, cake, anything fried, chips, pork or fast food of any kind. The only one I miss is the bread. Good luck.
