I had diarrhea the second day after surgery for just one day and I've fine since then. Try getting some fluid in so you won't dehydrated. Hopefully it will run it course very soon.

Sarah it's normal to feel this way, when I went to dr Almanza 2 weeks ago nobody knew about it except my online support groups. That was a big concern for me too I kept thinking what if something bad happen. But you know what I pray about it everyday until I walked to the OR before I went under. God did not fail me and I'm sure He won't fail you either everything is going to be ok you will be back home to your family in no time have faith. I know it's been a while since I logged in anyways, I had my surgery on august 4th in mexico with dr Almanza. Everything went great, I was the first one to be sleeve on that day out of the six patients scheduled. The first day was rough I was very nauseous and I threw up some but, the good thing about it I was in no pain. Whatever they used for pain over there was right on with me. The next morning they took three of us to the recovery house once I got there I took a shower and went to bed for a couple hours. The nurse came and wake me up she said that I needed to start walking to help with the gas pain. So I got up went downstairs and joined the others in my group and we started walking in the backyard. Later on we went shopping and I was bouncing from store to store almost forgot that I had surgery 24 hours ago. I did my Xray the following day I was told that everything looked fine no leak, we went shopping again before returning to the house, later on my drain was removed and it felt uncomfortable not painful just a weird feeling. It's been two weeks since the surgery I lost 9 lbs so far. I started on mushy foods at the end of my first week because, my sleeve don't like sugary foods I had a hard time with the shakes and juice and popsicles. Clear broth wasn't doing it for me so I started on thick creamy foods and my sleeve tolerate it just fine. I started solid food today and I didn't have any problem eating a piece of grilled tilapia a small piece of a broiled sweet potato and a tiny branch of steam broccoli I ate very slow and chew until there were nothing left to chew on and swallow. It's a new process and it's not easy I just need to get used to it. So far so good, the only down time I had was the incision where the drain was wouldn't close off but I started putting neosporin on it and let it air dry so it's almost close now. It's a good thing you mention sex how long did you wait before having sex?

I would say to wear heavy clothes for your weigh in and keep your keys and coins in your pockets. I'm don't like the idea of gaining because them insurance people you can never trust them. I will hate for you to gain the weight and they come back with something that will still denied covering it for you. Just a thought, but whatever you decide I'll will support you girl I understand the frustration.

I'm schedule for the 4th with Dr Almanza, I will go shopping on sunday for my pre and post op stuff. I don't have much to pack so everything is already handy. I haven't book my flight and my hotel yet can you believe it? I can't wait for this thing to be over with and come back home.

I did it! I went to JCPenney today and got me some clothes the size that I want to be. I even got matching accessories to go with them. They look so cute, I was picturing myself wearing them. I will post pictures wearing them when I can fit into them. Call me crazy or what huh! BTW anyone having surgery with dr Almanza on the 4th? I'm looking for a buddy it seems like I'm the only one here schedule with him for that day. I'm still looking for a flight I'm having such a hard time with the returning flight, it's driving me crazy. I know the longer I wait the more I will pay but I didn't want to spend 2 nights in San Diego especially on my way back. Any input is welcome hola back please.

I called the Hampton Inn to reserve a room for wednesday the clerk told me everything is book for the next two weeks. I emailed Louise I haven't heard from her yet. Can any of you that went to dr Almanza refer me to a place that's affordable and close to the airport please?

Its funny you mentioned that my surgery is next thursday, and I was thinking about going to a store and pick up some clothes the size that I want to be.
