  1. I had a band to sleeve done on July 27th and have lost 12 pounds since surgery date. I have ALWAYS been a slow loser and know that I am slower than most around here but I am also starting out lower than most. Maybe that's why band to sleeve revisions are typically lower because some weights might be lower start weights? I love getting full on a few bites of yummy food. I haven't started to work out yet and usually I am having to walk three miles a few times a week in order to keep my weight at 170. I have a feeling when I do workout that it will be falling off at least until I am in the 150's.Happy so far!
  2. Just curious as to when you were able to start drinking caffeine?
  3. We'll see! I have stalled off at 9 pounds of weight loss but have one more week of full liquids. I am thinking once I can eat some real food and have some energy that it will start moving again. So, not exactly on the other side yet!
  4. I was sleeved on July 27th.
  5. I was sleeved on July 27th and I started last Sunday and am still a goin! My weight loss seems to have already stalled so hopefully this will help with getting me back on track.
  6. I deal with not eating by cooking too. Well, what is considered cooking in this house! LOL I think it is that after you cook something you're tired of food and don't want to eat. I can't deal with going to the movies right now or going out to eat but it doesn't bother me to cook here. Recipe sounds good btw!
  7. True! 12 pounds is my whole dog!
  8. On my first weeks list of drinks, there is decaff coffee and skim milk. So, throw those together with a little sugar free vanilla syrup? and it's a drink! I wonder if Bux makes a decaff skinny vanilla latte???
  9. Don't you think you'll be able to eat bread in time?

  11. Super Mom--Congrats on the 50 lbs!! That just fell off! Hopefully, I 'll have the same luck. SMacBeth-I also had surgery on the same day as you! I , too, have a cotton mouth with a foul metallic taste almost. Ketosis no doubt..... What we have to go through to be skinny! LOL When I got home I had blown up 9 pounds since my weigh in at surgery. So, that has dropped off plus two more. I don't think I can really count those as weight loss because it was due to the Fluid IV that I gained so much weight!
  12. The first night in the hospital I had trouble going to the restroom. The nurse turned up the Fluid and it started to help me go but.......the next night after I had been going to the restroom all day the fluid wasn't turned down. I being me, didn't realize that it needed to go back down and was up peeing ALL NIGHT! Seriously, I would no more than get into the bed strap my legs back up to the "no clot" things and I'd be having to undo them withing 10-15 minutes. I should have called the nurse but didn't realize it at the time. UGH! My doc came in the next morning and I told him and he asked , "Well why are you still hooked up to this thing?" My ingenious answer, " I don't know!" So, that was my second night. The first night I couldn't sleep, to much anxiety. I walked probably every half hour except for two times that I actually was able to sleep one whole hour at a time! The nurses were great and so attentive but I was so glad to get home Friday. Home for three days now and doing OK as far as I can tell. Unfortunately, this is my last week for some summer classes that I have been taking so I can't just be a total veg and sleep as much as I would like to do so!
  13. You're lucky you get to have jello! Not on my list!
  14. I was not on the master list as I only found this site a few weeks ago but I am a July 27ther too! I am still so nervous. I don't want to mess anything up.
  15. I was a self pay also. 9 pounds in 10 days is awesome!
  16. LOL! All my nurse had to do was start talking catheter and he scared the pee straight outta me! They are not fun.
  17. Here we go! What time are you guys scheduled for? I am at 9:30 --Pigs
