  1. Hello all, I'm 14 day out from surgery and I'm feeling better. But as I'm home waiting to be healed I keep seeing that PaPa john Pizza commercial. I'm not a big fan of Pizza hut or Dominos or papa Johns but that commercial is killing me. So how long till anyones had a slice? I know I won't eat a whole slice but how long till you can have it at all?
  2. OK I'm a month post op and I have had PIZZA!!!! One thin crust slice and it was sooooooo Good. I'm not really having any problems with any foods. I eat until I feel a litle pressure then stop. I do notice that sugar causes Dumping. I have stopped losing weight at 30lbs, but have not gained. I have to get serious and exercise and watch what I'm eating. Thanks for all the reponses, pizza is great and good but I'm done for now with it, back to chicken and fish in small portions.
  3. Hello all, I got sleeved on May 31, 2011. I'm 14 days out and finally feeling better. I have lost 29 lbs to date, going from 327 to 298. I had my surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan by Dr. Roslin. The first 2 days in the hospital were the worst. I thought I was going to die. I couldn't get comfortable, I was in pain and it seemed like the hospital staff was doing something to me every 20 minutes, so no rest. I had to get out of the hospital because my blood pressure was going way up. My wife called my primary care Doctor who had me released from the hospital. That made the difference. If I wasn't released that day I was going to escape and walk home with my a$$ sticking out of that gown. When I got home I started on the atkins Protein shakes which are OK and dannon light and fit yogurt. I've been drinking Water and Diet snapple. The best thing I've found are sugar free tropical popsicles. I've started walking, today 2 miles and I'll try to keep this up for at least the next 2 weeks every day then move to the bike. I'm hoping to get back to my birth weight 8 lbs or as close to it as I can get. Realisticly I want to get to 240 lbs and try to maintain that weight for the rest of my life. I'm 6'2" and 240 is a good weight for me, any less and I would be too fragile. I'm glad I found this site because I know I'll need the support and encouragement that only fellow sleever can give. Do well and let me hear about it.

    Big Boy got Sleeved

Hey whats going on, I got on the scale and I gained 3 lbs, so I bought a new scale and tortured the old one to death. I left the old scale in veiw of the new scale just to let it know what can happen. I'm still on liquids but have dicovered I can have Soup. I love tomato soup, its the highlight of my day. I've been walk/run 2 miles for the last 3 days. At this rate i better reach my goal weight before I get hit by a bus. I run/walk really slow, it's the best I can do right now. I got passed by an elderly woman in one of those Razzie's, I was so close to Razzie-jacking that old broad, but she was too fast. Everyone keep up the hard work and keep your eys on the prize..... being the Hot person you see in your mind.
  5. Pictures are great, but I forgot. What really has me encouraged is my old clothes. I'm putting on stuff from a few years ago. Some of it may be out of style but damm I look good! It may only be me but my closet sports clothes for size 30 to 46 (pants). I can cloth a ever growing baseball team. I'm going to get rid of the high and low numbers and find a nice mid point. Hey, you think bell bottoms will make a comeback? I've got some gaberdin slacks that may be a fire hazard.
  6. Hey N2B8R, thanks for friending me, your my first. What with the name, I'm slow, so does it mean something.

Enroute to a world of soccer

Hey Soccer, I was told that the sleeve just puts us on even footing with the rest of the world. We still have to do the work. Good luck and welcome to the rest of your life, enjoy!!
  8. Didn't like them there very thin, watery. They could be good if mixed with something else or blended with ice. I like the atkins drinks better.
  9. Hey Tamz, the first two days in the hospital were the worst. I had to take warm showers just to calm myself. I was ready to break out of the hospital in the gown and just walk home. My primary Doctor came by and signed me out because the hospital was sooo annoying that my blodd pressure was climbing very high. While in the hospital I had the same thougts "what the Hell did I do?" then I made deals with god to please relieve the discomfort I was feeling. Then the next day I when to the bathroom farted and pooped and life was good again. Don't get me wrong I'm only 14 days out from surgery, but I'm feeling Sooo much better. I have dropped 29 lbs so far, pretty happy about that. I had my first real food today, blended cream of musroom Soup. I wanted to eat all of the soup but started to feel the discomfort about half way in. But at least it wasn't broth. I also found that sugar free tropical popsicles are food from the gods. I eat them 3 at a time and they just cool my insides and make me feel better. Hang in there and think about how Hot your going to be at the end of this thing.
