  1. I freaking ate some crackers. They are these organic wheat crackers that bsically melt in your mouth but I am still mad at myself. My self control sucks. I have bee eating in small portions...pudding, icecream, purred egg sald, and some cream Soups. All listed on my second week diet, I see so many people staying on liquids fo weeks. I hate that every plan is different.
  2. Well I definitly feel that after 5 weeks It is not a stall. Just gonna lose slow and its all on me at this point. I can eat fairly normal...not much restriction. 6 oz goes in and I could probably eat more if I let myself. Im over it. I will not have that quick weight loss I enjoyed the first time around. I lost 2 more pounds by DIETING. UUUGGGHHHH...LOL. I didnt feel like I was dieting with lap band. I basically eat controlled portions that sometimes leave me still hungry. I eat protiens all day and very little carbs. Oh well....so much for the hope of dropping a quick 30 or 40 lbs with great restriction. Im not so lucky. Its cool.....enjoy your journeys and your weight loss. If you have amazing restriction...feel lucky because going through all this to eat pretty normal SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Ill check in from time to time but reading about people eating 2 bites and being full just brings me down at this point. I have an amazing life and have come to grips with this after 5 weeks.   3. I ate shrimp yesterday off the grill. I had a big Mother's Day dinner at my house with about 20 people. I cooked crabs and spaghetti and my uncle grilled shrimp. Over an hour I ate AT LEAST 12-14 Shrimp(thats all I was eating). I was drinking pretty normally as well. Then I had watermelon afterwards which I can eat a lot of that as well. I was obviously not in trying mode. I have been sticking to all protiens but staying with eggs, had some cheese, thin sliced roast beef, chicken in the slow cooker. I did go out to eat twice and regular grilled chicken will fill me up quick...maybe 4-6 oz.(and not that full....I stop myself) but the other stuff seems like I can eat quite a bit and I basically stop before I am full(except the shrimp yesterday.) I see people who cant even eat a half of egg. I can eat two in the morning at my tightest time with NO PROBLEM. I guess i just have a bigger stomach than most...which annoys me!!! Those that have been following my post know Im frustrated and stalled. Yesterday I thought it might have been over. I was down like 4 pounds. Today....right back up!! I did not eat and drink 4 pounds yesterday!!!!!! Focusing on protiens today and see if i can get some exercise in this afternoon!!!
  4. Thanks for the tips. When I had the band I NEVER counted ONE calorie so I know exactly what your talking about. Ill give the nuts a try...LOVE pistachios! I will try your suggestions as well and mix it up a bit. Thanks again.

  6. I read people eating 600 calories a day. I dont know how they can even function. Im pretty active. 600 calories wont cut it. Gaing at 1500? That BLOWS ME AWAY!!! I think the heavy weight loss has a serious effect on out metabolisms because I used to lose good at 1500.
  7. Doc and dietician said 5-6 small meals a day(Snacks being meals). I eat anywhere from 900-1100 calories. Protien 60-80...carbs 40-80 During the week is pretty much the same every day. Breakfast Around 630-730...2 hardboiled eggs 140 calories Snack Around 930...I cup of fruit of some kind. Usually100 calories depending on what it is lunch 1130ish....roughly 4 oz of chicken(usually thigh)....100 calories Snack 300....more chicken, fruit, or other protien....100-150 calories dinner...lately its been around 6 oz of chicken also had deli turkey and cheese one night.....200 calories Snack...fruit...maybe a hardbioled egg or two...a few times a 120 cal serving of sherbert. 120 calories ****Drinking the last of the low cal gatoride I bought. They are 30 calories each and 7 carbs. Not buying them anymore. Sometimes its a bit more or less. The most ive had in a day was 1200 calories the past two weeks. When I would diet and go to 1500 calories I would lose weight pretty good. Now....slow as heck!! Maybe it will pick up.
  8. OMG!!! Same here!!! I contemplated not getting it when the sleeve was taken out and i had to wait two months. i did great for a month and lost weight. My dad died and with all the food around I fell off the wagon and gained like 15 lbs in a month and a hafl. That changed my mind real quick!!

  11. Nice response...did you even read what I and the others wrote? Not looking for your sympathy. The whole post was about basically feeling like I never had surgery not cheating the sleeve. If I didnt puke blood and have so much pain I wouldnt even believe I was sleeved. Did you miss the high protien portion contolled part of my post?? Where does it say ANYWHERE that I was overeating? Gaining weight? or ANYTHING alluding to your response? Take your negativity to a different thread. And am I reading right? You have not been sleeved yet?

  14. Thanks, You did amazing!! I was in the same mind set. I knew I would never be "Thin". My goal from the get go was to be 250 for the rest of my life and less would be a bonus. My heaviest weight was 369. I am now 246. My lowest weight was 233ish. Id like to get down to 230 because that felt great. If I go further Id be amazed because honestly....I love food....I love going out to eat....and I really dont have a vision of me at 150...160...170...or even 200 pounds...LOL If I became some health freak...ya never know but at 38...I think Im set in my ways. I kayak, surf, bike, still skateboard, and fish my butt off!!! I have a cute and amazing wife(I lucked out). I live life and Im not gonna be depressed about my weight anymore. If this tool keeps me under 250 forever and keeps me healthy....Im OK with that. I saw that you said you had the opposite of a good life...I hope that changes for you.
  15. Thats what Im thinking. I think my body was already used to dropping weight and then leveled off. My Lap Band doctor(dosnt just do weight lost surgeries...he's legit and well known beside WLS) who is an amazing doctor felt that my body was leveling off and it would take seriously hard work to get off more. I think he may have been right. When i went into this I felt like this would happen. I talked to my wife and friend and said if i come out of this and dont lose a tone but can eat controlled portions and not GAIN weight that I would be OK. Well...that seems to be the case. My hopes of the quick drop are gone and Im ok with that. I do not know my bougie size and at this point it dosnt matter. I need to make the right choices and do the best I can on my own. I dont get sick if I eat too much but I also havnt pushed it and am going to do my best to have self control. I know I cant eat 6oz in the morning but I know at night i could EASILY eat more than that. I just try not to.
  16. Im not worried about the negative responses. Thanks to thoe who answered the questions. If I didnt puke blood and feel pain i would have wondered if i actually had the surgery for a while!! Been eating more solid protiens and seem to full me up a bit quicker. Yesterday I had 900 calories....all protien except 100 calories of watermelon. Only had about 40 carbs yesterday. If I dont start losing SOMETHING soon...Im gonna lose my mind!!! Will be a month Thursday that I have not lost a pound!! I started logging and being more strict so we will see....
  17. Sugar free pudding is a good suggestion! Especially when you crave chocolate.
  18. I like watermelon....only 50 calories a cup and 11 carbs. Probably something better with less carbs but this is what I snack on when I want something sweet.

  22. Thanks, Its no biggy. My question wasnt about cheating or really losing weight or anything...just amounts. Some people missee that I guess. Some people got mad...LOL. Its cool. im learning and rying to compare to what others are dealing with. I guess if people are successful they forget that some people are not (including themselves before WLS). I just have to keep tweaking and make it work.
  23. Thanks for all the advice. With the band it seemed like it either went down or didnt...LOL. I am gonna stop eating the softer protiens and move onto more grilled chicken....stuff like that...more solid. I didnt think there would be "sliders" like the band. My thought was its a small stomach...when filled its full. I guess some stuff dosnt need to get processed and drops into the intestine quickly. Im learning. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
  24. Just started logging. I do weigh my protiens with a little scale now as well.
