  3. yea DDDDDDDDeanna.... That is awesome..Isnt it awesome to see all of the bikers and all of them out there just having a great time???? I was surprised at the ride this weekend that the numbers werent nearly as large as before at other rides. But overall it was still great. we were lucky to of met up with some friends from the local group and they rode with us... Glad you are almost done with school.... My classes are allot easier this year.
  4. I know what you mean. We have made this a fun challenge, but my motive has changed as my reasons for doing the challenge at all First of all, I have come to realize that I have this band as a tool for me to eat the proper amounts. It by no means will tell me I cant eat something or yell at me for eating a slice of Pizza. I can choose to stay at this weight forever by not changing what I put into my mouth, or I can continue to loose and get healthier by making better choices. Life is hard, and it is diffucult to always think this way and we will have the days, weeks and sometimes months where nothing is going our way on the scale or in our lives....that is when we need people in our lives to give us the quick kick in the butt.... This is what the group here has done. I may not hit my goal weight by the 6th....but I have learned allot about myself this past few weeks... I can do this, and it feels so dang good to push myself to the next level. Everyone on this thread has come far. Everyone deserves a huge pat on the back and I hope we all know if anyone needs anything we are all here.... So.....whats next??????????????? We need a holiday challenge!!!! you know...I leave for florida for a whole month in less than 5 days?????? YIKES>>>>>>>>
  5. Staci, I saw your pictures on myspace, and they are so good. Your family is so nice looking and your kids are growing..... You looked amazing in your dress..... Thanks B about the pictures......I am feeling pretty good today..odd, I thought I was dying last night....LOL
  6. thanks!! I felt really good about it...I usually only ride around 25-35 miles at a time, and last weekend was my first 50. So.....I really was excited to of finished.... Here is some of the shots from the ride....
  7. i posted this on the bike thread...but most of you guys read this so I will re post it here.... Well, I am pleased to say...I made it!! I did my first 80 mile ride...the route was hilly at the first with it going from rolling hills, to downright hills. Then after the 2 sag stop, it became flat as we crossed into Kentucky across one of the bridges. Then most of Kentucky was flat, which at that point I thought I would like it to give me a good chance to rest up...but at that point the mind started playing tricks on me. When I hit 50 miles (which is all I had ever done) I think It was telling me I couldnt go any longer. I wanted to stop soooo bad. I had a little argument with myself out there, and then re grouped. I ended up going across the 2 bridge that took me back into Indiana and had just around 10 miles left to go. we battled head wind ont the flats of Kentucky as well as the last 10 miles. But...all the mattered was I MADE IT! Very pleased...dead tired last night...but felt real good about the ride. I also weighed this morning.....and if it hold true I will have a pretty weight loss to put on my ticker.... I have less than 1 week until I leave for Florida....YIKES...so much to do.... Hope all you guys are having a good weekend.'

  13. Well ok ...but it sure felt like it weighed more...I know the law of science is not in my favor on this one...but a rock hard thing of water sure seems heavier than a full bottle of liquid...LOL Oh well.... Gorgeous day here....I am excited to leave at a normal time and get a ride in....
  14. hey b I agree with you about adding the weight/ I kind of did that to myself on accident with completly frezzing my water bottles on accident. i know it wasnt 7 lbs but it felt like 10!!!! We are home and glad of it. Seebs....that is great that you are out riding with your daughter and you know it is a great thing to see the satisfaction in there faces when they do something for the first time... Hi to all
  15. thanks You know, to be honest on the last day I was getting very tired of it Heck, we ended up camping this weekend for the bike ride we did, and I just love it. We actually rented a camper, and it was really nice. Wish I had money to get another one...but....oh well. Yea, I am trying to find a plain purple jersey..(to match my bike of course) I have a purple one but I bought some purple socks yesterday and they dont really match!! LOL Anyway....we got in a 50 mile ride yesterday at the Hope ride...it was great.....I think I need to make some adjustments to my bike though...my back is killing me today.... Hope you guys are all having a good weekend.
  16. B...love your new bike....and it is sure pretty!!!! Well, my daughter who is 14 completed her first 50 mile ride saturday! She has only dont 30 miles at one time so far, so this is a huge accomplishment for her. We had sit out for the 64 miler, but she was done at 40....Lol...so we had to push the last 10 miles to get her back. This was a excellent ride and they raised enough money to fund the food bank for an entire year. There were tons of people, great food, and just allot of fun. Not many hills...well, none at all really....so the flats were kind of boring, but refreshing as well. We have a ride scheduled next weekend and it is supposed to be hilly...I will be wishing for some flat roads by the time I am through with that one I am sure.. Hope everyone is having a good weekend
  17. hi everyone..this thread has been very quiet this week....hope everyone has power and getting there life back on track. I am doing a organized event this weekend....it is in Hope, In. 19. yes, IKE did take a toll on allot of people. there were 6 deaths in Indiana alone. We were without power for 58 hours. I cant even begin to imagine how bad it has been for those that were hit hard. KY...did you not do the ride saturday?? We have the HOPE ride this weekend. we signed up for the 64 mile ride. Glad I didnt sign up for the 100 since I have been off my bike since last week. We are camping the weekend....gosh we have done that the last 3 days..LOL Congrats Chris on the wonderful loss in the year Pictures please!!!!! and btw...MIKE...where are YOUR pictures of the bike???????????
  20. and the time of the month does not help BLOAT!!!!! keep journaling and keep exercising. next month you will knock his socks off...well..that may be gross...but you know what I mean D....baby!!!!! I have not any power at home....it is stinkin......we did fine the first day or so, and now, it is getting old..... we had to cancel a ride tonight just so we can sneak into a campground to take showers......not fun but, think we may load the bikes and jsut ride into the campground...lol I am holding at my current weight. I need to chill the heck out and get back to my goals. Seems like I ate more last week than I should, and ummmmm had liquids that are a NO NO.....does not help my loss. I did find out I am getting to go to my training. I leave the 3 of Oct....for 4 weeks. Than another 2 later. Driving and taking my bike though...pretty excited about that. Everyone hang in there........we can all do this....
  21. tlilli Gosh, isnt that frustrating as heck????? But you will start loosing again, we all hit those times when it just freakin STOPS! Keep your head up.........and turler you too!!! You guys are all doing amazing things and it will all pay off for you guys.... We are still without power. it is getting frustrating. I have been without since 11am on Sunday. We are starting to loose food, and kids are getting tired of it, and I need a shower!!! I think we are heading to the campground near by this evening and ride our bikes in to take a shower. We are also going to try and do laundry somewhere as well. This is yuck. I cant imagine how people did it for weeks and weeks. Mike...awesome on the ride......D...I miss you!!!!!!
  22. i actually dont wear one, but most likely should. I am glad you didnt get damage Mike. We had awful winds here today, with gust up to 75mph....needless to say....No riding for me!!!! No power either...been off since 11. trying to do homework..kind of hard to do when your stuff in ONLINE> and welcome Susan. I have a friend who has a 15 year old son who is also autistic. You are a strong woman and I think it is great you are using the band to get healthy.
  23. hi c!!! I am trying to do my online homework for school and the system is down. called the school help desk, and it may be down for at least another 3 hours....UGHHH Cant go ride, the wind would knock me off my bike..LOL so.....guess I should clean the house....
