  5. I downloaded the The Cyclo-CLUB Membership for the Passion of the Everyday Cyclist i joined for 10 a month and it has downloads that you can get along with nutrition and other excellent information. I was really excited as they offered a free day on Sunday and i really liked it. My thoughts are to get myself on the bike and ride...and I need to make sure I keep it fun or I wont do it....I get bored very very easy Now just to do it LOL It is also pretty funny the advice you were giving our newbie...My doctor JUST had emailed me the same exact thing...she thinks I am not eating enough calories and that is causing me not to be loosing any faster....hmmm. Never knew I would have trouble getting enough calories in, but I guess maybe I am?? I am glad to see you back on here and offering the support/....we sure have missed it....and hope you stick around ....:sneaky:we always are in need of guidance..... u
  6. And I dowlnloaded and joined this online spinnning and training thing. I am really going to like it. I have unlimited downloads to different training links and will really help out with the training over the winter for me. Heck, before we know it it will be spring again... But...first we must get through all the nasty weather AND I am SO EXCITED YOU POPPED BACK IN TX:tongue2:
  7. Ooooo I think I do! How r you?? We have missed you
  8. thanks Juli.... I would love to take a spinning class...although the closest one is over 45 min away. with Rebeccas basketball and work, going somewhere that is that far is not going to happen. I hope everyone is having a great week....
  9. HELLO classes was ok....I am taking the basic classes as I have late start in life at getting a degree. I am mainly doing it as a backup for myself in case I would ever need to change directions in my career. I am only taking 2-3 classes a semester with working. Which is plenty I wish I was in the state of sunshine so I could continue riding year round..LOL Yea Julie, the weather around here is up and down, rain, snow, sleet ...yuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk hope everyone is having a nice week.....
  10. hi there!!! Things for me has been crazy as well...I am taking 2 classes, went to florida for work for school for 4 weeks and came back to cold dreezing stupid Indiana weather..LOL Biking has come to a huge Stop for me except indoors..which stinks....but is doable. I am ready for spring We were sick over thanksgiving, but are all well now. Glad to see you made it through school and the holidays... take care and Merry Christmas to you and your family Traci

  12. hey chris how did the opening go for you last week> It sure has gotten a little colder now that the nasty rain stopped. we are seeing snowflakes today too.... Got a nice 25.6 mile ride in on Sunday. Temps reached 42 and it would of been even better if we would not of had all the wind. Hope everyone is having a great week
  13. yes, Julie, I do seem to have this itch that just wont go away when it comes to riding. I love to keep pushing new things and am excited to be doing some new things during the winter to get me ready for my 2009 goals. If it would JUST QUIT RAINING...LOL
  14. nice to see you strangers on here.....and that is a awesome trail(street) I have been reading allot of cities are gearing towards making the towns more biker friendly. Evansville, which is a pretty large city is adding bike lanes from the West to East side. I am excited and hope to ride down there sometime when I visit my mother. Rainnnnnnn here this weekend....so I am working on Sat and hoping to ride on sunday... Have a great weekend everyone....
  15. I agree, I have the same issues with the same area and I beleive it is where it is sewn into the muscle...You would think they would find a better place..LOL It is frustrating, but I am hoping it is nothing more than that....
  16. wow....did I say how I so much enjoyed freezin my Butt off??? Lol...it was 37 cloudy and winds were around 10-15....a little cold, but it felt good to be back in Indiana and riding again. Hope everyone has a great week I am off till Wednsday~!!
  17. I know life does get in the way allot, and I find myself checking online but not posting allot anymore. It is cold here and I am still riding...crazyyyyyyy....but I am sure my nose will be completly cleaned out when I am done...HA-HA.... Well, I am glad to see you counting the days until May....It isnt exactly wishing your life away, just getting ready for the next phase... Have a great Sunday...
  18. Hi Chris...WOW...cant believe it is time for the airport to open. Seems like yesterday when you first started talking about it and now it is here. I chose to drive this time on my travels, but my husband flew out 2 weeks ago and he said it is really going to be nice...GOOD WORK. I had been posting on here, but everyone has disappeared and so I chose to not post anymore until someone else did..Did not want to monopolize the thread you know:) I am actually planning a ride tomorrow afternoon. Hope it warms up some or at least is not including wind...HA Well...Good Luck Tuesday hope it goes off without a glitch as I am sure it will.... Take care Traci
  19. veryyy tired of it I am sick of rain too
  20. hi Lisa!!!!! WOW.....pretty impressive.....I have been watching the biking tours in Vermont, and would love to save money to be able to do that sometime in the next couple of years. I am from Indiana, so it will take me a little longer to get there, but would just love to be able to make it happen. I was actually thinking of planning a 20 year anniversery trip there. Anyway...I started with a Trek hybrid in the summer of 2007....after I lost 100 i bought a trek 2100...she is pretttyyyyy....purple and silver specs...she shines in the sun...anyway..... My husband rides a Giant road bike and our 14 year old currently is riding a trek fx...she is wanting a road bike for next season though, so we are planning on looking come feb I think your commuting is awesome.....would love to be able to do that, but we live in the rural parts of Indiana and are about 45 miles from the base....allot of gravel roads.... But...we also have been talking about Mountain bikes.....Deanna that posted above ride them with her husband and loves them..... Well...it was great that you posted...please dont be a stranger
  21. love u too.....
  22. it can be road cycle, mountain biking, comfort, whatever your fancy!!! Good place to post upcoming bike rides or events or just to chat about riding.... if you are interested...introduce yourself.... I am Traci, I am from Indiana and I have been riding for about a year. Upgraded from a Hybrid to a road bike in May.....
  23. WALK, WALK AND WALK SOME MORE....take it easy...but let me tell you it helps to prevent gas pain in your shoulders..and it is well worth it. as far as fitness walking...I was able to get back to normal, pull the hill type walking by week 2.....I would tire allot easier...but???? Not sure if that was surgery, or my lack of proper exercise....:grouphug: good luck all of you....Traci
  24. thats right you mentioned something about going to Texas.....I bet that was amazing....how is your friend adjusting to the band so far?? I have not rode since Saturdays ride, but it has been pretty windy here, which I decieded I would skip....Hoping to maybe get in a short ride after class today. Hope all is doing well......this thread is getting so quiet..we need to invite some new people in to talk...but I think it has ran several away instead of keeping them....NO BIKE TALK...:Dancing_biggrin:
  25. hi....relax...it is really no worse than getting a small shot. They numb the area and than the needle is put in with the solution. I have only had 1 that was an issue and that was becuase my port had tilted..but since than, it was fine. My only advice is make sure you follow the instructions they give you for after the fill. very important. If you are like me, I live far away from the doctors office(3 hours) and I dont want to do something wrong and end up back up there for a unfill. Which BTW....I have not had yet.... Relax..and make the most out of the fill. I know that my first fill did not have immediate effect on me and it takes several before you get to that "sweet spot".... GOod luck.... Traci
