Sfoytraveler I also was sleeved by the always late Dr. Cirangle on 11/29. I also live in east bay . I gave nothing but great things to say about the entire experience including all the after care that I have gotten. Had a med problem called and situation was resolved in 3 hours.

I was always the girl who was hot. Last winter I kept on saying please turn down the heat it is to hot and stuffy in here. Boy am I singing a different tune this winter . I am 5 weeks post op and have never worn so many cloths in my life. I told everyone not to get me cloths for X mas but I was really excited to get hats and gloves because I did not own any of them. All I can say on this subject is thank god for Hoodies they are my saving grace. I am hoping that as i get to goal weight this will level out and I will peal off the layers and find my new thin body under all these layers.

Hi Deedle Dee, I was sleeved 11/30. Right after surgery my sugar went a little crazy. Now 4 weeks later my blood sugar are testing normal with no meds. Hope that helps....

Congrats on the new sleeve....I found that after being totally addicted to all things cold pre surgery that room temp or slightly hot water goes down easier post surgery.Also walking helped me drink also ...Three weeks out I can drink 32oz in about 2 hours.

I have found that by adding the all Whey it cuts the sweetness dramatically and adds 18 grams of protein .

Hi Becca, I just saw my doctor on Thursday and he said I can go back to gym in 2 more weeks. so 1 month total. He suggested going light on the core stuff for a couple of weeks. He suggested cardio and light weights building back up ...also " if it hurts in a bad way Stop" hope that helps......

I just need to say this . I really really want to chew something. Today is day 10 post surgery. I have 4 more days of liquids I am going crazy . Any suggestions ?

I was told by my doctor I could add any and all caffeine back in coffee or black tea after I could drink 64oz. of water consecutively after 14 days . His major concern is that caffeine can cause dehydration in some people . I hope that helps .

I am 2 weeks post op and I get 80 grams of Protein a day. After being very sick the first week my partner who likes to ticker figured out how to get me maximum protein in 8 ounces. Recipe is 1 scoop nectar chocolate Truffle 1 scoop All whey Whey !/2 Cup vanilla Soy 1/2 Cup Water Blend It is good Hot or Cold Makes 8 OZ it has 44 grams of protein so 2 a day it has 120 calories .

My surgeon says two weeks liquids. You can have Popsicles and Jello. I hate Jello so that was off the table. No pudding no cream of wheat I in fact would kill for some of these. I am think I am craving texture more then anything. I will admit that I had 1/4 teasspoon of mashed potatos last night. No proplems but to be honest I let it dissolve in my mouth then had to have water to get it off my tongue. I am afraid of complications so now I will wait til tomorrow to have yogurt the first thing I am allowed on mushes.

I think it has alot to do with how much you have to loss to start with . My main post op problems have been migraine headache and gas pains . I have lost 13 pounds since surgery. I have United Health aCare and it took exactly 19 days. I submitted my paper work on Nov 1 and received a phone call to tell me I was approved on the 19th. I will add they called me pre surgery and post surgery to check in with me.

It has been 3 days Since Surgery my major issues thus far are that I have had a major migraine headache and fhe deep coughing that hurts my incision sites. Overall am more tired then I expected. waking around my house although boring really does help. No one was kidding when they talked about random gas pains in the joints, I would still do it all over again.

I am leaving for the hospital in a few hours.....wishing I could sleep but no luck.....Bag all packed ..... Wishing I could do any number of things ......I really want to be on the other side of my nerves .... Breathing breathing wish me an uneventful day.. Will post from the other side .

We are Sleeve Sisters. I am having my surgery today. I leave for the hospital in 3 hours or so. I to am very emotional tonight not for what I will lose but for what I will achieve. I have spent most of my adult life on medication that have not helped with my weight or my health . My surgery is about not wanting to spend the rest of my life walking down the Diabetic path. So in 5 hours I will choose the path and that path is good health . To my sleeve sister I hope your day is uneventful..

Hi All, For those that are already sleeved my surgery is coming up and I do not own a blender or food processor. First did you use both or just one . If you used one more often then the other are there specific things to look for in each one. I have heard people talk about mini's and bullets and am wondering what to buy .. Help Please. I like him to. I originally was seeing Jossert but he left the practice a few months ago. I would love a local sleeve buddy. I will go to the support groups in San Fransisco although I live in Oakland and currently work in San Jose. I saw you added me as a friend how did you do that? Plus how did you get the ticker thing on the bottom . Thanks Sharrin

Congratulation ! That is great news. I am still waiting although I called and was told by the nurse case managers that they indeed have all the paper work. So I wait some more it has already been 6 months ... still hoping for my date of Nov 29.
