Jacqui I think exactly like you, I mean lets face it we all have been strungle with our weight for years (at least me! lol) we cant pretend we will lose all our "curves" in a few months! Is a long way and I really rather walk slow but regularly than kill myself with a little portions that make me feel unsatified and probably cheat later on... My personal opinion. Blessings

Hi rumar! I know how hard it is... I'm 6 months off and still have my personal battles everyday, because like laineer said THIS IS A LIFE TIME JOURNEY... We have to face it, we are addicted to food, like other persons are to cigarrettes, alcohol or drugs and the worst thing is all the other stuff you can quit anytime if you want (easy to say! not to do!) but we all have to eat EVERYDAY so is even harder for us. Something that help me and maybe can help you is remember that I can't control food and the first bite of the chocolate bar will be my dead, I can't do what other people do and eat just a couple of bites of the cake I will eat it ALL and ask for more! that's me that's my addiction, and only God and my efford will take me away from the bad choices.... ONE DAY AT THE TIME, JUST FOR TODAY, I will try to eat healthy because my choice today will make the different on the scale tomorrow... Stay bless

My policy has an exclusion so I self paid my band in Costa Rica, but want to have my fills here in Houston, call the insurance and they told me they might covered with a predetermation (?) note from the doctor, they said it depends how the doctor put it can be covered not as a WL plan or procedure. Any experience ? what the letter have to say then?! :help: Blessings

it is so true! they always noticed the "bad" things but as soon as you are doing something good... the whole word gets quit! LOL... well, I would take it as Im doing it good and the skinny girls feel threatened because let's face it girls, we have wonderful personalities and getting a prettier! I would feel the same way! LOL

Thank you for the information! I called the Doctor and just to let everyone knows this doctor do fills for people banded in other countries and without complications for $250 each fill. No under fluoro unless he cant fill the band. Blessings!

Dear Faith knowing how helpful your information is I would like to ask, I've been banded almost 4 months ago but have a lot ot trouble avoiding the drinks with my food, I CAN'T! I CAN'T! I try to many time but I can not eat and wait for an hour to drink my Water... Dear GayTX, where are you in TX? Im in Houston and so far away from surgery at this point but checking with insurance and everything already! (so anxious). I read about your good experience and how open your doc was and I would like to visit him if he is close! My insurance said my doctor have to show them all kind of documents and depends how he ask for the surgery they will covered! :clap2: I'm so happy to have a hope to see my flat belly on day!!! :whoo: Blessings!

Same here!!! Im banded almost at the same time, lost 27 pounds first month and got my only fill in May lost another 6 and nothing since then!! I have to confess that I havent been making good choices either and fill hungry often !!!... could be a slippage? or I need another fill? please :help:

Ohh Lorien you are so right about the clothes, the other day a girlfriend pass me a email asking something about my " clothes style" and I just have to answer "whatever fits"! I am worried and I dont know if I slip my band or not, my last filled was in May the doctor filled me with 3.5 cc in a 9.5 band (first fill) but after a couple weeks I started to feel hungry all the time! even though I try to control myself and dont eat as much as I can! Im not losing any weight and Im so afraid to have a slip because sometime my 4 yo son and I play a little rough and one night (only happen once) I feel a terrible pain in my upper stomach that wake me up! Today is my 11 day after surgery and Im hungry... the first week was so easy to keep with liquids but this second one and probably because Im feeling so good the hungry is back, of course not like before but I want to other things like cheese and scrambble eggs or something and think that I will be next 3 weeks with purred food is kind of hard...
