  1. I saw my family physician today and I hit the twenty pounds off mark today, at about three weeks out. I was thrilled to see the scale going down. At two weeks out I only lost thirteen pounds and was told I lost the least of anyone Ever.I wanted to cry. Glad to see the numbers going in the down direction at last. I too am eager to get outside and walk, but it is so cold and nasty out I have been settling for doing housework. Sounds like everyone is doing great and we are all different. Hang in there, we did the right thing!!! Jaala
  2. I had this pain too. It was very intense and my surgeon checked me out with lab work and a CT scan. Everything looked good... So, it should get better on it's own.Dr. Ahuja is very careful and I trust him. Jaala
  3. I'm right behind you, ready for surgery on Tuesday. After all of the testing and preparations, it is hard to believe that surgery is almost here. I had my tasty magnesium citrate this morning and am counting the hours til Tuesday. Maybe I'll see you at the hospital ...Best wishes to you. Jaala
  4. I'm seeing Dr.Ahuja as well. My surgery date is January 18th. I have gone to the Monday afternoon support group meetings. I really need to attend some more.
  5. Yay!!! I got my surgery date today!!!! January 11th is the big day for me,, with Dr. Ahuja in Herrin, Illinois. I am so excited!!! Jaala (pronounced Jayla)
  6. I applaud you FatJuicyMouse! Kudos!!! I worked in the dental field as a hygienist and a dental technician for 25 years and have seen lots of patients go through what you are doing. I am so proud of you, that you are investing so much time, effort and finances into reconstructing your teeth. Just try to be patient, the waiting parts are never easy, but hang in there and before you know it you will be back in business with a good set of teeth. It will be a boon to your digestion and health to be able to chew your food as well as is needed for bariatric patients.I wish you the best of luck and hope you post your progress . JaalaAnn
