  1. Are you still looking for a buddy? I was sleeved July 7th.
  2. I just recently started dating after my surgery and meeting guys for lunch or drinks has been difficult considering not into either of those right now. I have been upfront with all of them and they have all been really good about it. If they cant take it than I dont need to be around them. Fortunately havent had to deal with that yet.
  3. Mellifrits- I have had the same issue not with McD's but just food in general. Trying out different foods that I can actually eat and than finding out pretty quickly that it wont be staying down too long. I call this my trial by error time for food. Since not sure what I can really tolerate or even how much of something I can tolerate.
  4. Had my surgery on the 7th. Have been off the pain pills since the 10th of July. the one thing that I am having a huge problem with is once i get all my 64 oz in I always end up with the hiccups really bad which results in me puking. Is anyone else having this problem? Cant get my protein in hardly at all.
  5. Well I am one week out from surgery!!! I am feeling pretty good so far. Each day I can tell I am getting stronger. Surgery went well except they ran across a hernia they had to repair and alot of adhesions the had to scrap through from a prior surgery, but still everything went great. Do find that I am having problems getting all of my protein in during each day, but am trying hard to get as much as possible in.
  6. Hi LIbby!!! I am with Dr LeMasters and it will be tomorrow. I will keep you posted on how it goes. Right now I am just waiting to hear from the hospital to find out what time I go in tomorrow morning! Good to hear from another person in DesMoines. We should meet sometime.
  7. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow and totally cant wait for it!!!! What I cant wait for afterwards: better health cute clothes able to exercise without having problems I am so excited and havent gotten nervous about it yet. I am sure that will change come tomorrow when it is time to go in. Right now I just cant wait for it to be here finally!
  8. My surgery is set for July 7th with Dr. Lemasters in Des Moines Iowa. I am very excited to finally have a date set and be able to start my journey of feeling better and being more healthy. I have been over weight most of my life but was diagnoised 6 years ago with type II. Recently I was put on insulin and that was one of my deciding factors that I really needed to check into the surgery and do some research. I felt after talking with Dr LeMasters that the vertical sleeve was my best option. I would love to hear from others and share each other's experiences.
