  1. I would never use one. To me its no one else's business I had bariatric surgery. I would also not mind they left overs either.
  2. I'm 4 days out and I started out sleeping in a recliner, I hate it, I'm a stomach sleeper. This morning I woke up very early couldn't get comfy and back to sleep. I went into the spare bedroom and proped my self up on 2 pillows then put a pillow beside me and leaned on it. It was great I'm going to sleep like that tonite and see how it goes. Good Luck!!
  3. delawaregal do you go to any support classes on the area? I am not far from you and am looking to go to some that have sleeve people. Thanks
  4. Why dont you try some Isopure from GNC, its a drink like vitamin water or gatorade. Or unflavored protein powder to add to your drinks. Also nectar protein drinks just add to water, all of these are high in protein. Good Luck
  5. Going to the surgeon on Friday and will have my date for the end of June. Will let you know!! Scared and excited all at the same time.

  8. http://verticalsleevetalk.com/insurance-financing/1451-bcbs-federal-denied-pre-approval.html She did get approved. ObesityHelp.com - Insurance trouble http://verticalsleevetalk.com/insurance-financing/3390-bcbs.html page down to Tiffykins and she has about 5 links on there that might help you. When I first talked to my surgeon he said if I could not get approved for VSG what other one are we looking for to get approved, I said none. Its either the sleeve or nothing. I will be in your shoes soon too but I have Keystone Health Plan East. Good luck and let us know how it works
  9. I just want to make sure my info is correct for contraindications If I have acid reflux or GERD I am not a candidate for the band but will this prevent me from getting the sleeve? If have to take NSAIDS and/or steroids once in a while and low vitaminD and family history of osteoporosis does that mean I am not a candidate for RNY? Just getting my info together for my final visit with the surgeon before it goes to the insurance company. Thanks for your help
  10. I will hopefully be starting my 2 week liquid diet soon and I am wondering what kinds of hobbies did any of you pick up to keep your mind off food and did you continue your new hobby after your surgery to keep you occupied? I had to fast for 1 day(Clear liquids only)for a colonoscopy and I thought I was going to lose it. I need something else to occupy my time so I am preparing now. Thanks
  11. I'm still preop but I ordered the 16 flavor trial pack and shaker. Thanks for the tip Tiff, you have a lot of great ones.
  12. Maybe going self pay. Any thoughts about using Dr Pleatman. Please feel free to PM me if you are not comfortable posting on board. Thank you
  13. So you only stayed 1 full night before they sent you home? How many leak tests did they do? How soon before you follow up with your surgeon. Just looking at comparisons. Thanks for answering my questions.
