  1. My boobs seem to disappear more and more every single day. I just bought two bras from Kohls barely a month or so ago. Pre surgery I was a 40D. My bras I bought were 36D. When I was putting one on today I had to go to the very last (or is it the first?) hook to make it as small as I could. Also my boobs are having way too much room to move again now. *sigh*. I think I'm gonna need to hit up Kohls again soon and try some on. I might just need to go down a cup size. It's just amazing and very sad all at the same time. I do see some implants in my future. Probably as soon as I get to goal. I really don't look right without big'uns. It's just something I've always really had but no longer. *cry*
  2. Sarah... WOW!!!!! :bounce: You are doing, like, really amazing amazing AMAZING!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story and your pics with us. I really love the dancing picture like everyone else. I have to tell you, you sure look smaller than the size you say you are!!! The sleeve really really is all it is cracked up to be. For reals!!!
  3. Yay Kimmes congrats lady!!! I'm just waiting on a few more responses before making the date settled. I'll give it a few days.
  4. lotusflower - CONGRATS TO YOU!!! Isn't the sleeve such a wonderful thing!?!? Good luck to you and here's to many many more successes along the way to goal!!!
  5. I didn't hear that it wouldn't stretch at all, only that it doesn't stretch a lot - especially in comparison to the pouch surgeries. Do you know which size your surgeon used? My stomach was done with a 36 and oversewn to a size 32. Not sure they do any smaller. I imagine the larger size sleeves have more chance of stretching, as there's more stomach TO stretch (not sure if I'm making any sense). I think the liquid diet your doing and "detox" will definitely help a lot.
  6. Good luck DJackson!! I'm looking for some feedback here. I'm thinking of making the next challenge a bit longer in duration. I'm thinking Easter Sunday which would make the challenge for about 2 1/2 months. What do you all think?
  7. Well I think you have done really well myself, but I can understand wanting to boost it along if the scales haven't moved in some time. I think it just gets harder the smaller we get, and we have to work harder than in the very beginning. When it comes to weight loss I think we do have to find some kind of weight loss eating plan that works for us until we hit goal. How much CAN you eat, just curious. I definitely know I can eat more now than even one month ago. However, I don't think it's anywhere near what I could even with my band. I get stopped at around 2-3 oz of meat and a few bites of veggies and complex carbs. I'm pretty much DONE after that - my sleeve says so. You'll get back there, you're doing the right things to get it kick started again. Good luck!!
  8. WELCOME TO VST!! The more the merrier I always say! Big congrats on your weight loss!! You have really done excellent with your sleeve. Hopefully you will be able to help others around here just starting out. Here's to continued success for you!!
  9. I definitely have the fear of the unknown. I really honestly don't want to get too thin, my build I think doesn't become me at all. I've been too thin before, so I know its true. I just want to be fit and healthy. I want to be able to sustain a marathon someday - but turning myself into a runner I will be on the thinner side. It might be a difficult balance, as its already seeming difficult to stop losing with the sleeve. I'll just have to figure it out when I get there. However, I'm thinking I'll start thinking about stopping once I get to about a size 8, not caring how much I weigh. I'm a 14 right now so I'll begin my pondering in about 3 (6) more sizes.

  11. Yep I did... I had a little bit of turkey chili and some wheat crackers (was enriched so not the best choice...). Didn't snack at all except for about an ounce of turkery Jerky. Normally I would go to town! Especially the Doritos... OMG I can't tell you how much victory I felt on this. I just can't tolerate chips anymore - they literally make me feel sick and nauseous. I don't eat them ever anymore... YEAHHHH!!!!! I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!! :D
  12. Hey Lucille, I hope so! I actually know I'm super rare with this, so I can't say. In fact I really don't even know of anyone else this has happened to. It's a fact though, ALL junk food makes me nauseated or dumping. No wonder I'm losing as fast as I am. LOL!!! Lap band and sleeve - for me is like day and night.
  13. Yes I definitely was getting this same reaction first out when I'd even have a bite of candy or something really sweet. I have to admit - it's keeping me away from the stuff for the most part. I do have sweets once in awhile but it sure isn't much and when I do its few and far between. I also get nauseated off of chips and popcorn - it just makes me feel so yucky and sick. I'm also severely lactose intolerant, so along with my sugar issues, it's keeping me away from ice cream. YAY I LOOOOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. WAHOOOOOOO!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! I know you've been waiting for this for a minute... and now you're there!!!
  15. ((((((((Fit))))))))) Hang in there lady, I absolutely know you can do this!!! Stay strong like you are now - and yes, work hard to lose those pounds. Please keep us in to loop on how you're doing!! I'm sending you all the positive vibes your way.
  16. Well you can go just to be there. Does she know about your surgery? It sounds like she does. Maybe just sample the ones she says are really very good. Make everyone happy!! :-)
  17. Once you get the surgery you will have no where to go but down. Keep us posted!!!
  18. Whoohoooooo!!!!!! You're a rockstar!!!!! I've never seen your before pics, wow girl you really did fantastic with your sleeve!!!!
  19. Oh my dear!! You are so right, every single day in our sleeved lives it will be a learning curve. Even far out when you find out you can once again eat things you at one point weren't able to. I'm glad to hear you didn't do too much damage. Thank you for posting this too, because it really does show that our Surgeons know what they are talking about and we should always do our very best to follow their post op guidelines. One day at a time!!
  20. He really feel much better once you have the surgery, you are ok and he'll see how much happier you are. It's very normal for our spouses to feel a little intimidated by all of this. Hang in there.
  21. On my pureed stage I loved to get the rotisserie chickens (skin removed first) and put it in a food processor in some chicken broth. It was really good. Of course I couldn't eat very much at all and I had to chew til it was goo, but the flavor was so unreal. It was nice to begin to eat REAL food again! ETA: I did not puree until it was paste. I got them to very tiny chunks or the consistency would make me sick. I just once I got it the right blend chew it up in my mouth until it almost liquid. I also liked to get the starkist tuna in Water and add a little bit of light mayo and hard boiled egg white... it was very tasty. I am very picky with my food so on each stage I pretty much stuck with what I knew I liked and lived on it for 10 days each. Good luck!!
  22. Maybe she just meant tall? I don't think a size 16 on your frame sounds like big as in... "big". Just my opinion of course - but yeah using "big" to reference anyone is very rude. Blame her tactless tongue for that one.
  23. My stomach was sent to pathology and the test came back normal except they did find H. Pylori. The pathology was done in Mexico - and I brought this up to my PCP here in Sacramento. She asked me if I had any symptoms and went through a series of questions with me. I pretty much told her I was fine pre surgery. She said almost everyone has it and it's only treated if it causes the patient issues. That being said you have already been treated for it previously because apparently it was causing you problems. To be safe you should bring this up to your surgeon. It would be for the better, IMO. Good luck!! You want to go in knowing you are as healthy as possible.
  24. Definitely good thoughts and prayers to you, and that your surgery goes smooth. It will all be worth it!! Just remember, sip sip sip, walk walk walk, rest rest rest!!
  25. I felt a bit nervous before mine too, so yes it's very normal to feel this way right before the big cut. But... what I reminded myself of, I was MORE scared of staying obese and continue to gain more weight - and getting more and more unhealthy. I really hated myself like that!!! Why lie?? I was miserable, and though I tried my dangedest to stay on the positive side, it bothered me a lot. Staying that way, to me is far more scary than having a surgery that was going to save me from a lifetime of misery. Good luck to you... ultimately it is YOUR decision on what you want/need to do for yourself. I just want you to know once you get to the other side, all those feelings will fade when you see just how AMAZING the sleeve really is.
