  1. Keep rocking your sleeve girlie!!!! Whoooottt!!! What an awesome NSV!!!
  2. Hi Kelli, I don't know of any sleeve only support groups out here. I keep thinking of trying to get one started in hopes of meeting somewhere at least 1x per month. I would actually personally prefer sleeve only. So many RnY and others really don't go through the same issues as you or I.
  3. That is a fabulous NSV!! Better make use of that belt now lest your pants are on the ground in a place that make you beet red!!
  4. HUGS AND PRAYERS!! You're going to do fantastic. Believe me, if the sleeve works for me, it will work for anyone...
  5. CONGRATS EVERYONE... GREAT JOB!!! S, only 2.8 to Goal -- whohoo!!!! I finally posted a loss after so many weeks... I'm soooo glad and happy! I now have 6 Lbs to go and 9 days to do it. I think I can... I think I can... I think I can... ____________________________________________ SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal LilMissDiva.....221.8..............205.8...........199.8.........6
  6. That does sound good, but I wonder if the additions (except the Protein powder, that's ok I would think) would be considered *not* clear anymore. As far as I remember from my post op plan, the clears stage specifically meant no chunks of any kind, and all clear. Please check with your surgeon (anyone that hasn't already) whoever would like to try this. They are all different, and it's always best to follow your own surgeons advice as opposed to anyone else's. I'll tell you what I did to spruce up the clear broth, I added an extra buillon cube. It tasted so much better. I also used to unjury chicken broth. It really made me feel good, getting that protein in.
  7. @Looou, you know it is my long term goal to complete my education with become a RD. I really want my focus to be on bariatrics as well. THAT would be the most rewarding thing I could do with my life, and my way of giving back to my community. I believe it's now my calling. @feed; @speedy; @sunny; @MrsK - I just have to tell you all THANK YOU!!! @Beading, just keep strong lady! You ARE making the right decision. I pondered it for over a year, watching the progress of most of my ex-bandster friends just melt away. I finally decided I needed to do something, and NOW!!! Now I'm sitting wishing I'd done it sooner. However, maybe I wasn't truly ready - I truly believe GOD opens all doors, and only when HE's ready. Hugs!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I just want to add a little blurb to this thread: This morning I FINALLY BROKE MY STALL!!! I'm down over 3 Lbs overnight!!! So... moral of the story - keep working your sleeve and it WILL WORK FOR YOU! Staying positive... that's what I'm all about. :D
  8. WOW!! Look at your little figure, YOU GO GIRL!!!! I bet you feel sooooo amazing - AND CONFIDENT!!
  9. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all of my sleeve family!!!! You ROCK!!! Keep the spirits up and keep working your sleeves. Your dreams will become reality. BIG HUGS!!! :bananahuge:
  10. iegal, I've got my fingers crossed that this new mix up will work. I think it already has but I'll give it another day or so!!! Thanks, you're super awesome!!!
  11. Your partner will come around eventually, no worries. They'll soon see that you are doing the right thing, for you and your health... stay strong!!! You have so many awesome things waiting for you on the other side!!!
  12. That's right! No matter what be true to YOU and to your program, it will happen. Stalls stink but trust in it and eventually it will break. THANKS FOR THE DANCING BANANA!!! I love those...
  13. Ahhhh thanks!!! Nope, I'm 37 years old. But you sure made my day, hugs!!!
  14. Hi Cmsumom, I have been very lucky as far as my skin is concerned. I have a very tiny bit, but considering how large I was I would think I'd have a whole lot more than that. In reality I'd say it's barely noticeable.
  15. Hey there Looou, hang in there my dear. :-) From one ex bandster to sleever to another future one. You're going to do amazing and you WILL reach your goal and fast. Hugs!!!
  16. So, I've been sleeved for 7 months now. I have been in a stall for a few weeks, but I'm in the process of changing things up a bit and I am hopeful my scale will be a little bit nicer to me in the weeks to come. However, there is SO much more to getting smaller than just looking at what my scale says!! I went back and made a bunch of face screen shots of how much my face has shrunk in the last 7 months, and even going back to when I used to weight well over 300 Lbs. I'd say at the end of the day, I'm a VERY happy and VERY successful person!! And here's to my last 40 or so pounds. They say the last of it comes off slowly, well I think I'm set in my ways now and that to me is no big deal. I can already find all kinds of cute clothes anywhere. Not only that, I'm healthier today than I ever have been. My panels are excellent, no signs of any type of blood sugar issues, cholesterol is outstanding and my High Blood Pressure is GONNNNEEEEE!!!! I've come so far, simply because I used to wear a size 28W / and 3X tops. Today I'm fitting nicely in 14's and Medium tops. I even have some 14's that are getting a little loose and I'm constantly having to pull them up. Not only that, a few weeks ago I actually was able to put on a pair of TENS!!!!!!! I was sooo stoked, I think I may have even shed a little tear... heee!!! My Ring Size has gone from an 8 1/2 down to a 5 1/2 now. My fingers are so skinny, that I do recognize - and always COOOOOLD!!! LOL Anyway, I'm just so happy to be able to share this with all of you. I'm on top of the world, I feel super amazing and most of all CONTENT. Until next time...
  17. Hey there SunnyD, congrats on meeting your first month sleeversary!! Also, wow - great job on getting off all your medications. Isn't the sleeve just a miracle??? Thank Goodness we have it... it surely has saved my life!!! Here's to many many more -- CHEERS!!!
  18. Hello pasquini, welcome to VST!! I think majority of us, whether overweight or uber thin don't really realize how we really look. For me, I don't know what the reason was, but whenever someone would convince me to take a picture and I'd see it, I was always so shocked. And now, all day long I'm being called "skinny" or whatever. I'm not skinny at all - at least not in my mind I'm not. But since everyone else says so, does that mean I'm just not seeing myself for who I really am? I don't know!!! Good luck on your journey. The sleeve really is all it's cracked up to be, and then some. Read up and ask as many questions as you can think of, no better folks to give some advice than those who are living it.
  19. CONGRATS foxbins!!!! Before you even realize it, those too small clothes will be ready for the donation bin.
  20. I took 3 weeks off total. I'm so glad I did because it at least got me through the complete liquid diet stage and most of the mushies. It's everyone's personal preference of course. I know some folks are back at work within days! I couldn't do it though... LOL
  21. WHOAAAA!!! Only 10 days and a wakeup Challengers!! I still have that awful 9.2 Lbs to lose, but now that I know I have to push extra hard because our Goal Date is right around the corner, I've been being the poster child for the Sleeve... LOL Hang in there y'all!! No matter what I think we have all done really really well. Most of us chose some pretty aggressive goals, but I won't let that be an excuse to not to try to make it with everything I have. GOOD LUCK!! Hopefully I'll be able to post some losses in a few days once my new routine starts to work its magic. GO GIT UM!!!
  22. I kinda thought the same, I know she's (Oprah) pretty much dogged WLS and those who've gotten it. But hey, that's when you tell folks that "I was wrong, and now I'm jumping in with both feet!!" LOL I have seen Raven, she really does look awesome too. She's lost it well, if she did get WLS it doesn't seem like RnY or anything - she looks super healthy. I love my sleeve!!!
  23. FANTASTIC!! What a great thing to spend on though... YOU DESERVE IT!!!
  24. I'm very glad to hear this, it's nice to get the word out to all the joe schmoes out there that really are clueless about WLS and what it entails. I've always wondered why Oprah has not thought about it for herself, she has struggled with her weight for so long. I know she's gone for PS, why not this? She needs to call up Star Jones and get the dish from her! I'm not judging her though, it's everyone's individual decision... but won't stop me from wondering.
  25. Whoa no, you will not want to eat like that with the sleeve! Fortunately for me I learned to slow it down when I was banded, I'd be sliming and PB'ing at every meal. It hurts and its gross!! I haven't really had any problems with my sleeve, thank goodness. I get pains sometimes but I stop immediately. It does teach you to follow the rules.
