  1. Ok I think I have to change my answer. I just gained 7.5 Lbs in a matter of 3 hours... haha!!!
  2. CONGRATS!!! You're lookin great!!
  3. Thanks so much!! I hope you enjoy it, I love Callanetics. It makes me feel super sexy and curvy.
  4. Here's my results from my surgery yesterday afternoon. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/21967-my-plastics-journey-my-first-one-of-several/page__view__findpost__p__199783 THANKS!!! I'm sooo sooo sooo happy now!!! Sept. 24th is my first Lipo appt, which they will remove the residual fat out of my inner thighs and knee areas. Then Oct. 14th is my final step, Lipo appt. #2 and they will remove fat out of my waist and saddle bag area. Whoohooo!!! My journey is almost complete.
  5. Hey there, thanks!! I luuuuv em!!! Heehee I can't wait to see how much slimmer my waist will look after the lipo too. I'll be all finis after all that! I just got implants, 550cc each, silicone. He placed them on top of the muscle. He said a lift was not necessary, just needed to plump them back up, and that's exactly what he did!! LOL I went to Dr. Shahriar Boubarakh, FACS in Folsom, CA. He's one of the best in Sacramento area and I know someone personally who used his services too. Total slam dunk! He did tell me my right side is slightly larger than my left and thought about doing a 570cc on my left breast, but decided against it. To be honest I never even noticed they were lopsided, so no biggie to me. I think them being a little asymmetrical is quite natural anyway, as long as its not a whole big noticeable difference. Awww coops, thanks so much!! I'm so happy... VERY HAPPY!!!
  6. So, yesterday was the big day. I got there at 11:30 am (and can I say I'm lovin my sleeve because I KNOW I would've been starving to death by then.. LOL) and prep time, plus some Planet Earth DVD's passed the time pretty quickly. My surgery started around 1:15 PM. It went super fast as always!! However, I found out by my Anesthesiologist that I have a heart murrmurr. You know, I've been told that one other time over a decade ago. Funny thing I thought it was a fluke because I'd never been told that before ever and didn't again so I'd forgotten about it. Better to put that on record I guess with my PcP next time I see her. Anyhow, everything went FANTASTIC!!! I absolutely without a doubt LOVE MY NEW BOOBIES!!! OMG, I can't tell you... I'm so glad I did this!!! My pain has been tolerable. Doc gave me Vicadin and an excellent muscle relaxer that are working wonderful together. Right now I'm just resting and my Post Opt Appt is this upcoming Thursday at 9 am. I gained 7 Lbs from my surgery... crazy stuff. Got me back up to 186.4... but you know what's so funny is the Docs office weighed me in at 175 before all the IV's and surgery. LOL!! I think each implant weighs about 2 lbs each.. so now I'm hopeful that my Lipo's will take off that AND SOME!!! Next stop will my my Lipo's!!!! Bye-bye fat thighs!!! Hello itty bitty waist!!! (Photos Removed - if you are interested in seeing them they are in my "friends only" gallery photo album)
  7. Hi Ceci, thanks so much for the compliment!!! I'm 5'7 - so about 2 inches shorter than you. I just want to say that I know my workout routines along with being a Pear Shape has a lot to do with my outcome. Good luck to you!!!!
  8. All the very best You don't have to say any more than you like. Only thing she needs to know is that you need medical time off. You don't even need to say you're having a procedure or anything. Supply your Doctors note and that's that.
  9. I would never be considered a quick loser, but seeing as this is a LIFE LONG change, I'm totally ok with that. Try not to compare yourself to others, and DEFINITELY don't sell yourself short!! You CAN ALWAYS do so much more than you ever dreamed possible!!! I'm living proof of that. Celebrate your losses and be proud of your journey. Take photos of yourself, before an durings, keep measurements, keep logs of all your NSV's... these will brighten your day when the scale is being a poopy butt. Good luck!!!
  10. I was in the fatigued camp too. It's perfectly normal, not to worry. I was pretty much exhausted, and I mean really bad for the first two months. In time as I started progressing to solid foods and better choices (more balanced) and kept taking my supplements on a regular basis my energy levels increased. Now I'm a spitfire of energy!!!
  11. HEHEEE!!! Thanks so much y'all!!! Now, I don't typically have many weight goals, etc... but this is a HUGE DEAL!!! Yes, I lost more weight than our girlie Sleeve4Me weighs!!!! And may I say, it feels sooooo awesome!!!!!!
  12. Ok then, well I'm glad to know you found out about your erosion! Those are so dangerous and so good of Dr. A to stop the process and let you heal first. I don't know of anyone who had erosion and revised to sleeve or I would lead you there - sorry. Good luck in your research! I hope some will reply.
  13. Hi Donnie, welcome I didn't have an eroded band but had an all in one revision. My surgery went through excellently and very few and minor complications, such as pain while eating, bad nausea, some vomiting. I think mine may hve been a little more extensive than usual because I was a revision. Are you getting a revision and have an eroded band? I'm wondering if they may remove the band first, let you heal then proceed with the sleeve.
  14. How did you do yours? I did mine expedite and I got mine in a week or so. Really fast. I believe you will have yours well in advance, not to worry.
  15. Facebook can be the Devil sometimes. It is for that reason I have created an alter ego Facebook page. The truth is unless you're in the WLS community they simply won' understand. Then sometimes your WLS friends won't either! Anyway, I at least get far fewer asinine statements from individuals who have no clue what its like to be "me". Just keep doing you, and have your revision. You WON'T regret it. I know, I'm a revision from band to sleeve too!
  16. No way! The new picture is clearly thinner, happier and looks much healthier too! Our DMV needs to get with the program.... just sayin'.
  17. That is awesome Candace!! Hey, question... you're not from California are you? LMAO!! I've never even heard of anyone getting their picture on the same day they take them! Lucky lucky...
  18. Hi Roz, to answer all your questions: I follow a sleevers basic diet, meaning Protein first, then green (or other) veggie and some whole grain or better carb choices. I usually only have room for a few bites of carbs. However in the beginning you will find you probably won't have room at all for anything but your protein and maybe one or two bites of veggie. However, I stress that I ALWAYS SAVED ROOM for my veggies. It's really important for good health and I wasn't willing to trade that in! For my morning workout, I do not eat anything before. The reason behind this is my body needs the first whole 15-20 minutes to burn off any glycogen in my blood before it starts to burn the fat. With not eating prior, my body goes straight into fat burn. The results do prove this!!! I don't feel hunger anyway so why eat? I'll make myself a Protein shake with about 25g in it immediately after. The morning workout consists of 20 minutes stationary bike and treadmill for 40 minutes, 4x per week or 20 minutes stationary bike and 30 minutes elliptical 2x per week. I always adjust this however to break up the monotony, and sometimes its just not feasible. However, I do stick to this plan about 95% of the time. However for evenings I'll wait about 1 hour after dinner to start. I also reserve my muscle toning workouts and strength training and Callanetics for this time of day. I do this because I always feel too tired to do cardio at night and find excuses not to do it. This way I get much more done. Then I can just tell myself I've only got to do 30 minutes... LOL Just little ways to always keep myself working out! I'm not considered a fast loser by any means. I'm totally ok with this because in my world, this is for life!!! It seems fast to others though on the outside looking in. I'm just consistent and never give up. I always find ways of improving on all the successes and goals I've already had. However, I did this to get myself in the most proper shape and health I could. For me and my structure I think 29% Moderately Lean body would look great for me. However, knowing me I will re-assess when I get there! Once I feel I don't need to get any smaller, then I'll need to work on not getting out of shape or gaining back any extra fat on my body. My journey doesn't end when I get to a certain number on the scale. My journey will NEVER end. The best advice I can give you is to never give up, and to always get back up and move forward. The first whole month is probably going to be your toughest. Just try to hang in there and keep looking toward the future, because it will get better. Expect stalls, they do happen for most of us. Don't let it get to you so much your feeling like a failure. A failure is permanent!! Those stalls aren't. All the best in the coming weeks! It's going to come fast... hold on to your seat!!!! Thanks Keke for your kind comments!! I love sharing my story and it makes me happy to know that some folks out there are getting some positivity from it. This is such hard work!!! But it is TRULY worth it all!!!
  19. Here's the link! http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/10081-the-official-what-you-will-need-for-your-surgery-thread/
  20. Awww thanks SLEEVER FAMILY!!! These pounds tht I'm losing right now are very difficult!!! I'm having to eat so perfectly and workout like CRAZYY!! It sure is worth the outcome though. Working toward a 29% body fat which will place me in the "moderately lean" category. Whoottt!!! Had I ever even imagined one year ago today that I'd be fighting for LEAN... I woulda called myself insane!!!
  21. I'd also like to add, yes sneezing hurts but... speaking of sharts, you'll need to watch these while sneezing. As they say, liquids in, LIQUIDS OUT!
  22. I did 60g TOTAL carbs per day. I didn't account for anything except carbs period. However, my choices were always whole grains, green veggies and very little fruit. I tried to do my best to do high fiber which I'd get in around 18-25g per day. I held a higher ceiling because my workout routine is very intense and it just worked much better for me. My body does not like to do 30g or less for any length of time as my weight loss would plummet, besides I would feel so terrible!! Everyone's just got to find their own personal happy medium. Log everything and keep a journal and take notice on what works best for your body. Good luck!
  23. Deedee, thanks so much for checking in and telling us your story! I love it when the long time sleevers come back and give us a little bit of how their lives are managing. It sounds like you are on top of the world and your baby is so sweet and precious!!! How can you not be in love??? Wishing you all the very very best! Also, congrats on maintaining your weight, you're really doing awesome!!
  24. Hi there, If you don't mind, when was your surgery? Are you still supposed to be on liquids right now? If so, then do please get back on them ASAP. Keep in mind the reason our surgeons put us on these post op diets is to protect our health. Eating too soon can lead to a whole host of really bad complications including leaks. Leaks have been known to keep people in the hospital recovering for months, and can even lead to death. Please take this very seriously. If you're able to eat what your family is eating now, then really I say don't beat yourself up. It's ok once in awhile to let go, but just get back on the weight loss bandwagon right away. Don't let it linger too long, for the longer you do the harder it is to get back to losing. HTH - and all the very best!!
