i was just banded yesterday and i can have an ounce of liquid every 15 minutes. I sip the ounce and it lasts about 5 minutes. The gas is almost all gone now. My heating pad has really helped. I hope you find what helps you.

How was your surgery? Mine was easy through I think I need a New pain pill. I am on a Percocet and it just knocks me out for a few hours. Are you doing ok?

Congrats to you Oprah Lynn. How are you feeling? Did you stay over night or get to go home?

Glad you are doing well Pura. I am so glad you didn't have to wait any longer for your surgery. I went back for prep at 6:40 this morning and then I was put under a few minutes to 8. All my incisions are on the upper part of my tummy which is nice for wearing more clothes, but no bra for a while lol.

Thanks Sarah. I have been doing a little walking, but mostly I have been on the couch with a heating pad on my back and shoulder. It is feeling a little better now. I am glad that my meds make me sleepy. I had a 2 hour nap and that really helped.I plan on walking in the yard tomorrow, since it was not possible today.

Back home and not doing bad. I have a little pain but it is manageable. Sipping my liquids every 15 minutes. I woke up from surgery starving,but had to do the swallow test before I was able to have some chicken broth. You know you are starving when you want more of that nasty drink for the swallow test. lol

Surgery went well. I am back home now. I have some pain in my shoulder and from the gas. My incisions are not really to bad now that I am not being rocked in the car. I am drinking my ounce of fluids every 15 minutes and will be walking as much as possible.

Ready for surgery!!! Managed to dose for a couple of hours and now getting ready to leave for the hospital. My tummy already rumbling for food...lol hope they get me in fast. Good luck to my other friends that are getting their bands today also.

We will make it through and have a great day tomorrow with great pain meds.

Hi Everyone, My name Amy. I am 32 years old. I will be banded tomorrow. I live in Clinton, Missouri with my son. I am a full time student working on degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Sitting in front of a computer for several hours a day has not helped me lose weight of course, but now that I am nearing the end I do not have as many hours of homework. 11 more classes to go so getting banded now is the perfect time.

I have to be there at 6:30. I am hoping that I am the first surgery that day since I have to be there so early. I'll be checking in as my pain allows Monday afternoon/evening. Good Luck to you too.

Congrats Joe I am getting the band Monday also. So glad I am seeing the light at the end of the liquid diet. Another week and I can have pudding and blended soup.

I have to be at the hospital by 6:30 Monday morning so I had better be the first surgery. I am always starving in the mornings so I have been sleeping in until 10. They better have me down for the first surgery or they are going to have a very hungry cranky woman to deal with.

I just found your site and I am excited. I have been looking for an online support/info group for several weeks now. I live in Missouri. I am having my band surgery Monday the 30th. I just turned 32 the 21st so I am considering this my present. I thought the 2 week liquid diet would be really hard, but I have not had many days where I want actual food. Less than 60 hours until surgery!!!!!!!
