  1. So how we all doing? I'm off my pain pills and was actually able to get three hours sleep last night!!!! Yaaaaa! Ya right. I'm dog tired. Not sure why I couldn't sleep. I'm thinking it could be all the supplements and stuff I'm taking but not sure. Had a great day overall. Incisions seem to be healing beautifully. Only pain I have left which isn't even really pain is just my port area. It reminded me all day today of what I had done.
  2. Hey Mis73, have we reached the gutter yet???
  3. My sentiments exactly. My opinion but I think we should go back to the constitution and the bill of rights. Throw all the amendments and other crap in the trash and start over. Until they take the politics out of politics all children will just continue to suffer. Why do I need my government to tell me who I can see and who I can't? They don't tell me how to live my life so why should they have control of the side effects?? Simplify the billing and make it to where a doc doesn't feel like he's gonna be sued by every patient and that will be good enough for me.
  4. Just felt like I was doing the gentlemanly thing
  5. Guess we all know what Carolina keeps in her night stand Steph, you doing ok??? Didn't mean for this thread to get you all flustered. Seeing as how this board was provided to be able to help people, please do not hesitate to let me know if I can help you in any way. Wasnt being a helpful member in the terms of agreement we had to agree to to be a member of this site??
  6. Do tell. What recipe might that be??? I have a few up my sleeve. I actually love my shakes and have not missed food one bit. Shakes will definitely be the constant in my diet for a long time.
  7. You trying to say if it was a group meeting you might be feeling with both hands???
  8. I'm willing to do some poking around just to see how deep that gutter is
  9. I can't believe y'all are already starting mushies. Im jealous. I still have another week:(
  10. Hey Guy, if it is true we just may have to start a new kind of LapBand results forum.
  11. Love this!!! Finally a lighter side. Hey Steph, give me 6 months and I'll be in touch:) However I'm still just an average white guy so I probably wouldn't be expecting any "Magnum" size finds.
  12. How awesome is it to have a forum where people can go and talk about gas, burping, flatulence and BM's and actually get supported and congratulated on it. At least I know where I can find the real people in this world. Congratulations to all my fellow bandsters on your burps and so on!!! Hope you're feeling better with every release
  13. Figured I'd get hump day started with a question. Is it true when they say that for every 35 pounds you lose you start showing an extra inch on the ole wedding tackle???
  14. So if Obamacare won't pay for WLS, will it pay to deliver that 9th child that was conceived just to have a higher SNAP payment and Welfare check? Hey y'all started the political rant.... I'm just asking
  15. Doesn't it tell you something about our president when he so selfishly named a program supposedly for the people after himself. Even if it was the greatest plan around people would still hate it just cause of the name.
  16. What worked for me was to kinda turn and get my legs out first and on the ground while I was still laying down. I would slide down a but to where the middle of my back was on the edge then I would use my arms and legs to push me up instead of using my abs. Wasnt easy at first though. Gets better.
  17. I started in April. Banded in September. Honestly didn't seem that long.
  18. Sounds like you've had a heck of a day. Sucks about the thrush but that's good news on the biopsy results. Hopefully you'll get to enjoy the extra few days off. I have to say, I think shakes for a month sounds more exciting than one sip of cherry mag!
  19. Came across this thread and just felt it needed to be brought back to the top. Every newbie or going to be newbie should read this. Thank you Mis73 for getting it started
  20. I have no experience with the sleeve and have only been banded a few days so I have no real room to talk. However, I'll speak on my friends behalf. I have four friends that have had sleeve and three that have been banded. The banders did not follow the rules and actually weigh more now than they did before their surgery. They cuss the band anytime they can because its the bands fault. In NO way is it their fault. Two of my sleeve friends were sleeves early this year. They look great, have lost 140lbs between the two of them and love life. They have no complications and regret no getting sleeved sooner. My other two sleeve friends however love their sleeve so much they hate it. They can't stop losing weight and are now so skinny they are unhealthy. They now have the complete opposite issue as they used to. They have to eat and stuff themselves to try and gain weight. They literally work everyday to try and be healthy but the sleeve almost seems to counteract everything they do. The one thing that settled the score for me was the staples in the sleeve. Just couldn't stand the thought of those being in there forever and having half my stomach removed. At this point I'd much rather have scar tissue than half a stomach.
