  3. My paper work was submitted August 13 and my surgeons office called me August 20th to book me for surgery. I could have been banded Oct. 4th but I choose to wait until the 11th so i had time to let them know at work and get plans situated. Couple more weeks and I'm going under! I was just as anxious as you are and was on here everyday looking to see how everyone else is doing.
  4. I feel the same way. I always tell people I have the opposite of anorexia and think I'm smaller than I am. Lol for example at 235lbs I did a cartwheel the other day and couldn't figure out why I couldn't lift my arm an hour later until I really thought about it. All that weight on one arm is no bueno. I can't wait to do cartwheels without hurting myself. Lol anyway I'm very excited for you. Let us know how you do!
  5. I wasn't required to so I didn't. My BMI was also on the low side so I didn't want to drop or I wouldn't qualify. I maintained the same weight (fluctuating five pound) for six months.
  6. The six months go by REALLY fast! I started in April and finished this month. My surgery is October 11th. It went by so fast now I'm super anxious! My advice is make all of your appointments in advance and keep them! I went to the nutritionist the first Tuesday of every month. Good luck to you!
  7. Awesome! My psych eval was a breeze also
  8. October 11th! Woot woot!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see what I look like after!
  9. I'm booked for October 11th. I cried when I got the news. I can't wait to see what I look like under this fat. I've never been without my fat... I'm guessing I'll look just like my mother when she was in her twenties. I look like her now just a little fluffy. ;^D
  10. Thank you! I hope you get a speedy response as well. It is really sad that these stereotypes have been woven into the fabric of our society. I wish you ask the best of luck!
  11. I had my last nutritional appointment in Tuesday. My paper work was submitted yesterday and I was told I should know no later than next week. (My insurance company is local) I am a bundle of nerves. Every time I think about it I get butterflies. This LapBand is going to change my life in so many ways. I think the only thing I'm nervous about is people treating me differently. I have worked my whole life to win others over with my personality, charm, and smarts. Lets face it you have more to prove to people when you're overweight because to them it implies gluttony, laziness, and stupidity... I'm not any of those things. So once the weight is off I won't have those stereotypes to contend with. So what then?
