  1. I have been released from the hospital. I am doing okay. I did develop a horrible anxiety though. With meds that is doing better. I think I am going to have to see a shrink to help me along. But I am home and so happy to be there. 3 days in a hospital is way to long. Preparing to sip some cream of broccoli Soup. Well blended of course. No chunks for this girl. Until tomorrow when I get braver.
  2. Well I was admitted into the hospital this afternoon. Doc thinks the pouch is swollen and not allowing anything to pass. He drained my band and the gush of Water I had drank throughout the morning hit my stomach like a brick. He gave a little water to me and it started all over again. So I am nothing by mouth now laying in a hospital. I am posting from the app and still feeling my way around it
  3. Best wishes! Let us know how it went when you are feeling up to it!
  4. E is a good thing to know. I seem to have no elasticity in my skin what so ever. I think the only part of me stretch mark free is my pinky toe. I will have to try that. Thanks!
  5. Thanks everyone. I will be calling the surgeon again. My night last night was miserable and the morning is not starting so well either. I was there not even 48 hours ago for the same thing except not heaving. Just extreme nausea. He let out 2 cc of Fluid and I felt better but that has not lasted.
  6. No, I am not on pain meds. I just feel ill in general. Water is getting difficult to swallow. I had to go in to the office yesterday for severe nausea. They had to take Fluid from my band. I felt better right away. However I am getting the same symptoms again for no reason.
  7. I understand the super gossipy coworker scene. Some of my coworkers knew before I went out for the band. I am sure they all know now . I chose those I could trust. However the individual who is in control of my pay and flma forms is the one who puts her nose in it. I figure I am doing something that will improve my health. They all saw me before and dieting does not work well with me because of my past. So I am not ashamed of what I did. I was ashamed of letting my eating get out of control. So I figure when I get back to work there will be a lot of questions  .
  8. So last night I began dry heaving with a nauseated feeling. It is not followed by consuming anything. Last night I was watering my Soup when it hit. I ran for the bathroom and a ton of air just escaped my mouth. Like a belch but way different and forceful like vomit. This evening I have just been heaving for no reason. Honesty it hurts my tummy. I have not "ate" anything in almost 5 hours. Last thing I drank was watery soup. I am feeling hungry again and very fearful to consume anything with all this heaving. I do feel some nausea with all of this. Anyone have any idea what is going on with me?
  9. It is to soon for me tell. I hope I have worked through some of them at least.
  10. I was told 8 weeks to begin a abdominal routine.
  11. I share openly. However I don't tell my starting weight unless I trust them or they have walked in my shoes.
  12. Mine was too tight after all the initial surgery swelling went down. I could not hardly swallow my own saliva without it making me feel real ill. Some fluid was removed and it was instantly better. It was the first time I had been through that and prayed it was not normal. Slow and clear fluids. Good luck!
  13. Congratulations! That is great news. Glad you are feeling well!
  14. For me it was a lot of things over many years. I blame no one but myself for position I am in. When I was very young I was a heavy toddler and always told I had a good appetite. I know chunky babies are cute though. As I grew a little older I was very thin and very active. A little older then that I got pretty heavy again. One summer I was about 3-4 grade when my father decided i was old enough to watch my slightly younger brother so he would not have to pay a babysitter. We were not allowed to go outside and play while he was not home 12-14 hours a day. So we ate as there was nothing else to do. That summer I was so embarrassed when school started back up and I had out grown my school uniform. I was forced to wear it anyway. My pants did not button or the bottoms of my shirts. About 7th grade I no longer had that responsibility and was back to being active. I slimmed out and did very well. Of course looking back on it I was never happy with the way I looked and always had very poor self-esteem. I was always called fat so when I was not I always found someone smaller then me I wished to be. Well at 17 I got pregnant and gained 60 pounds in just the 6 months I was preggo. My daughter was born 3 months early and was in NICU for 5 weeks. I never lost the baby weight and just kept going up from there. When she was about 4 I decided I had had enough and starved myself allowing myself only to eat baked chicken and veggies. Veggies for Breakfast and lunch no more then 100 calories. Chicken for dinner only after I stuffed my self on 16oz of more veggies, then I allowed myself one or two bites of baked chicken until I felt very sick. I actually kept this routine up till about 2001. My mom came down with cancer. I ate for comfort. I gained about 25lbs from then till she passed away in 2003. After that I did not care any more. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted and did not give a crap what anyone thought. I used me being fat as a joke. Plus my job size is everything the bigger you are the less you get messed with. So my size had its benefits. One day almost a year ago I realized I hate being big. However always wanted the T-shirt that said fat people are harder to kidnap. I went to a seminar for the band. I had done my research previously already. I told my 18 year old daughter at the time who is a model (another thing to kill the self-esteem..lol) that I could not wait to go clothes shopping with her where I did not have to go to the men's section of t-shirts and sweat pants. She put her arms around me and said she wanted nothing more and me being healthy was a bonus as she laughed.
  15. I woke up this morning with a positive out look. I did great until I again was in tears from the barfy feeling that would not go away. It was at the point where just opening my eyes made me heave. I called and I was told this is classified as an emergency an to come in now. I explained to the doctor when I arrived that I am a very violent vomitter and I know that causes serious problems so I have been fighting it for 4 days now and just can not take it any longer. Well I survived my first adjustment. I had to have fluid removed. OMG the relief I felt it was pretty much instant the pukey feeling gone! Apparently my band became to full. I am still very puzzled how this could happen. I felt fine up till 4 days ago and then all of a sudden whamo. He told me to tolerate the protein drinks. He also believed that now they would be easier to drink now that the nausea was gone. Well that is a no go. For what ever reason I still can't stomach them. He also adjusted my diet and told me all liquids again. After reviewing the paperwork he gave me again. I was on the right diet. I dunno. Here I go again. I just hope this hungry thing goes away as it makes me weak and supper tired. Also I was worried about the adjustment because I read up on how it's done. People say that it is pretty painful. Piece of cake, the only thing I felt was the numbing shot (2). Mmmm c..a..k..e. Sorry all, I mentioned cake.
  16. I have not had this problem as I just got mine done less then 2 weeks ago. However I am always looking for a new job and fear this exact same thing if I find a different job.
  17. Well I had to pay my surgeon a visit this afternoon. The pukey feeling had me in tears again. I could not open my eyes, tolerate movement or smells. He removed Fluid from my band and instantly I felt 75% better. He told me I had to suffer through the shakes but he thought it would be better now. I am trying now but It is going to come back up. As my pukey feeling returned with vengence. My surgeon has a specific list of shakes. As we all know the more pure the protien the nastier they taste. Put it to you this way GNC made a killing off me and they will probably never see another penny . They may sell "quality products" but for the price you would think they could have less of a putrid taste and smell.
  18. The quote never leaves my head. My daughter has a huge chest tattoo with a hour glass and ribbon that says that. It is nice to meet you as well!
  19. Thanks to everyone for the support. I woke up this morning with a new outlook and less crabbly/emotional. I appreciate the support. I am so glad I found this place and such wonderful people.
  20. I feel misserable. I am so hungry that it is making me ill. My head hurts, I am nauseated, and light headed. I have always had this problem as far back as I can remember. In the past I resolved it by eating. I can't do that anymore. Although it has only been 3 days of feeling like this, I am misserable. About 12 years ago I starved myself and lost over 100 pounds. I only allowed myself veggies and chicken. Approx 300 calories a day. One of the reasons I regained all the weight plus 70 pounds was because of the frequent nagging hungar that caused health problems from the starvation. I promised myself that I would never do that again as well as live so misserably. I was told with the band you will not feel hungry all the time execpt briefly between meals. Ok it has been 3 days and I feel very ill from being hungry. This feeling brings back awful memories for me. I just want to know if it will go away. All I have done is cry tonight. I feel like such poo that nothing distracts me from the ill feeling.
  21. I am having the exact same problem. I feel misserable. I hope you feel better soon hun!
  22. I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is Christina. I have spent most of my adult life avoiding cameras so my pic is one of my 3 siberian huskies. Once I can get a decent pic on my computer I will change it. I had my surgery 9 days ago. I waited almost a year for my surgery due to insurance red tape. I was so excited to finally get it. I am having a lot of pain where the port is. I seem to not be able to tie my shoes on the right side, lay on my right side, rest my arm near the site with out a considerable amount of pain, and it's just lumpy looking. I have no idea if any of this is normal and wa hoping someone could key me in. I am also very hungry. This is new. It has been the last 3 days and I seem to be getting nauseated frequently whith the hungar pains. This has been a prior issue my whole life. I was hoping that with the band I would not be hungry ALL the time. I measured how much I could eat this evening at the "full" feeling. I am sitting currently at about 4 oz. I had some well blended cream of potato Soup. My instruction tell me to have 8 oz with 4 oz of a diet juice. No way, 4oz of soup and that was all I could take. Not even a hour and a half later I was hungry again to the point of misery. I was in tears from being so physically hungry. It is almost 4 hours later and I am still not feeling well at all. I drink, drink, drink and the nausea, light headedness just misery in general will not go away. Is this normal. I was told 3 "meals" a day. Also the protien drinks make me ill as well. I did well with them through the whole prep before surgery. This is also a new development in the last days to where just the smell makes my stomach flip and want to vomit. I forced 4oz down this evening. It was worse them my mom making me hold my nose to eat brussle sprouts when I was a kid. I just can't do it. Everyone I force the next one tries to come right back up. That is with taking small sips not guzzling. I hope someone can help with this too. I am statring to regret having this surgery as I seem so misserable .
  23. Mrs. Estrada I am with you on this one. I had my surgery 9 days ago and I am starving too. That is what prompted me to join the group and see how normal this is.
