How much is a normal fill? I had my first on July 19th. And how often are we suppose to get them? I cannot get any info from my Doctor and when I call his office I get voice mail.

No he just stuck in this huge needle, did the fill...then gave me a few sips of Water.....took all of 3 minutes!

NO the surgeon I Have has Zip...Zero...NO time for questions or concerns. He always says for me to call the office and talk to the "girls" Really ticks me.......seems like he has my $$ so he is not to be bothered! Grrrrr:mad:

I do not know how much my fill was because I get ZERO info from this Dr. When I called the office....the nurse said I must learn to drink without breathing. Another words...exhal and then drink...said I was getting too much air/gas. Tonight I took my meds with a little juice and I can feel it! Oh, God! Surly it will be worth it all!:think

As stated in an earlier post, I had my first lap fill on July 19th and during the wee hours of this morning I started having awful pain .... like terrible indigestion only it was in the stomach area and went clear through to my back! I thought I was certainly having a heart attack! So when my husband got up at 4AM to go to work, I squeaked out ..."Please bring me some water" After drinking some water, I was able to relax and get some sleep. Got up feeeling fine. Then I started sipping some slim fast and BAM started all over again! The only way I was able to live was to make myself BELCH....over and over! Sounded like an 'Ole drunk man! Finally it passed..after several hours. Have any of you had that??? Now I am afraid to drink anything or even take my meds! Help!!! Any advice?

Good Morning DeLarla.... Just wanted to say HI and noticed you and I are almost the same size. I am 5 ft. 9.5 inches. Beginning weight was 317:cry Today weight is 286. I was banded 5/26/04. Hope you will have a Blessed day!

Thank for all your encouragement. Now to answer the questions. Buna Texas is just north of Beaumont Texas. It is a teeeeeny weeeeeny rural town. I had my lapband done in Port Neches, texas by Dr. Felix Speigel on May 26, 2004. My first fill was done July 19, 2004. So now I am on 3 days of liquids. Me and Slim fast are becoming best of friends!

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I am 51 years old...married 32 years to my best friend! He totally supports me in all of this. We live in Buna, Tx. My neuro surgeon suggested I do this and wrote a letter and then it was BOOm BOOm and everything fell into place. My insurance paid 100%. I had lapband May 26, 2004. The first month I lost 28.5 pounds. This month I was hungry ALL the time and gained 2. I got my first fill today. For those of you out there that have had a fill..will I feel different? Will my hunger pains go away? Would love to hear from any of you! i need encouragement!!:cry
