Hi Everyone, I to am very shy and no one knows I am going to do this surgery. I am scheduled to be banded on 5/3 by Dr. Kirshenbaum. I know two other people who have been banded by him and are doing great. I am very excited but a little nervous as I have had all of my consultations over the phone because I live about three hours from Denver. I am trying to jump through all of the hoops with my ins company so they will pay fro some of the cost and it is a nightmare to get pre-approved. I am so excited I found some one that has gone to him and is going to have surgery around the same time. I wish you lots of luck. He seems like a very a very nice dr and his staff (Paula) is great too. I will be thinking of you this Friday. :clap2: Spa-chic

My dr shared with me that he did a patient and they are now pregnant. I hope to get pregnant some day and have my band surgert in exactly 4 weeks from today!

Hi there, My band date is scheduled for 5/3 (Thursday) and I am anticipating returning to work on Monday 5/7. It is a stressful job but at the same time is a desk job. Do you think that is to early?:paranoid

Ok.... So a couple of questions for all of you band pros out there. What is band erosion? Did you have to go through a physciatric appt before you were approved? What is the best tasting Protein shake? What pre op / post op surgory advice can you give? Can you swallow Vitamins or should I do liquid vitamins? All of the "filled to much can't swallow and am pucking" is scarying me......:nervous Any words for the wise....I really am excited to lose the weight just getting nervous. I have a bad stomach aches anyways and don't want the band to make it worse! Hope everyone is well.......let me know!

Hi, I was browsing the site and saw you were interested in the Lap Band. I have my appointment on 5/3 to have the procedure done and as the date gets closer I am more and more nervous. I have a friend who had it done in October and she has lost 60 lbs and I am jealous....she is looking good. I am excited to lose the weight but nervous of what I will have to go through to do it. It is nice to be able to talk about this with everyone else out there who has had it done or is contimplating getting it done. Good luck.:nervous
