  1. Hi there, I have been suffering with my lapband off and on for the past 5 years, coming to a head now. I have been unable to get any food down, it feels like it is just hovering in my esophagus. It escalated two weeks or more ago...i have lost track of time...when I began to get horrible bouts of heartburn, before I knew it I went from never taking antacids, to taking them several times a day every day, as well as Prevacid and Prilosec for 14 day intervals. Now if I lie down my mouth fills up with bile, horrid metallic taste, and burns . I have been sleeping in an upright chair, I have not slept for days because of it. I have these spasm and then lower abdominal cramping. I finally got thru to the Dr. who did my initial surgery and will have it let out. Since I do not have insurance at this time, I have to wait to have it removed, but I do want it removed. I have not felt well since I have had it and do regret the surgery. I feel so under nourished. I can't eat salads, most veggies raw or otherwise. I can't wait to see this guy tomorrow, seriously I have been suffering and I am done. I have been reading posts, and I am pretty concerned...lots of tales of scarring, complications, etc. what is a "sleeve"?
