  1. I'm also 29 and my BMI is 40.1. I've had at eat a little to get me past 40 for my insurance. I'm also thinking about the sleeve bc I have tried pretty much everything to lose weight and I always gain it back. I'm hoping that by choosing to do the sleeve I can reteach myself when to stop eating and to make better choices. I feel that if I'm gonna go as far to get surgery to help me then I'm gonna give it 110% to lose weight and keep it off for good! Good luck:)
  2. I'm just curious on who you have told about your weight loss surgery? I have told a few people I was thinking about having it done, I still have along way to go before I have my sleeve done. After my surgery I know people will be asking what kind of diet I'm on or how I'm loosing weight and I'm not so sure I want to share this with everyone! Not that I'm ashamed I just don't want to have to explain my business to everyone, especially when people can be so negative!
  3. Is there anyone from Indiana out there?
  4. You look awesome!!! We are built similar, I hope I look this good too:)
  5. I'm not diabetic, although I wonder sometimes bc of the way I have been feeling. I was just recently tested and all was fine. I'm thinking I'm just overly sensitive!
  6. I have read lots of comments about vomiting after surgery. I'm sure everyone is different but I'm very worried about this because both my prior surgeries I vomited really bad for days. My last c-section I had I discussed this problem with my doctor and they agreed to give me extra meds to keep me from getting so sick. It didn't work bc a few mins into my surgery I started vomiting and vomited for days after that. It was the worst feeling in the world and has scarred me for life bc now I'm just absolutely terrified its gonna happen again! I literally thought I was gonna choke and die right there. I also know a women who vomited during her gastric bypass and died. I just don't really know how to get past this scary feeling. Last question... I'm also the type of person who has to eat every couple hours or I will get so sick I will almost vomit. After being sleeved does this feeling go way bc your stomach is smaller?
  7. I would love you see more before and after pics!
  8. Is there anyone out there that wishes they would have went with a different type of weight loss surgery or not have gotten it done at all? I'm new to all this but from most of the comments I have read most people seem to be doing well and glad they chose the sleeve.
  9. Great job!!! Thanks for your feedback, it's very helpful to someone like me who is just getting started!
  10. Thanks for the encouragement, helps more than you all know:)
  11. I have come across people in my life that have such a negotiate opinion on weight loss surgery. They say its the easy way out or they have said that is the lazy way... Wouldn't being lazy be not doing anything about it at all? Some people just don't understand that just bc you have weight loss surgery does not mean that you didn't work just as hard as the person who lost it on their own! It is a physical and mental transformation for anyone to lose weight! Anyone else come across this sort of thing? I'm just getting started but getting a lot of slack from family and friends about my choice. Not a lot of supports in my life, just wish I could make them understand!
  12. Congrats:) Hope all works out for you!
  13. I am new to this... I have my first siminar this Saturday and then I can get set up with my first appointment after that. I think I am becoming obsessed with this surgery! I'm constantly researching and watching Youtube videos! This app has been so helpful and it's very encouraging to read others accomplishments:) I know this is just the beginning and I have along way to go but I'm so ready to do this! So any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
  14. I am also right around 40 BMI and have been worried about my insurance covering my surgery. I go next weekend to a siminar then I can set up my first app. I've been really stressing about this insurance thing!
