Hi George I know how your feeling,I have had my band for 4 years and it did work for the first 3. Then I stopped loosing and just stayed the same. I had a slipp band for god knows how long, I had it replaced in july this year I think and now have gained 8 klos and very close to throwing the towel in to, none of my clothes fit me and I am frustrated to I had a fill on monday and it feels a tad tight but to be honest I dont care as I need to loose the weight again. Dont give up the band doesn't work for every one have u spoke to uyour surgeon about other options. Take care Tammy

Thanks I am proud of my self to glad to see my feet again lol. that's fantastic the amout you have lost I not sure how much that is in kilograms though as we don't go by pounds in Australia. Every step of your journey will be worth it there will be days when ur down because you can't eat like before but when you get use to the band it slowly gets easier. I have to learn all over again my self as mine was replaced on Monday the 15th due to a rare Slip. So I to have to start from scratch again. Well good luck and take care.

Hi I lost 20 before the band and 22 with the band I still have another 12-15 to go but I am happy at the moment. Tummy tuck looks fantastic as it has been 2 yrs since my first one then I changed dr and had a revision done about 12 mths ago and I am over the moon. You couldn't tell I had it done only for the faint line from hip to hip but my belly button is awesome.

Not a problem glad to set you mind at ease my appointment is the 31st. And at the moment I am hungry all the time can not wait till next week.

Yes I had a bmi of 41 I had a apron of excess skin so i had a tummy tuck 2 yrs after the band. So if you have a bit to loose you can count on excess skin I am sorry to say. But it's worth it on the long run.

Hi there yes it's normal as you have just been banded your band has not been tightened yet. Do you know when your first tightening date is yet or your next visit. That is usually when your Dr may do the first tightening. For now your band has to heal into place. Then you will start being very careful remember to chew chew chew lol. Take care.

No not a my goal yet the last 12 kilos is a killer they don't want to budge lol hopefully now it will.

Wow I thought I was the only one that did that trust me it goes away after your off the heavy medication. I an usually like that first few days after surgery. All good now day7 and sleeping like a baby still very sore but Still having pain relief but not the heavy stuff.

Hi I was banded in 2009 and recently for some reason my band decided to do some rare backward flip not sure what happened. Why? Who knows. Still not sure as I did all the right things. If it doesn't work second time round it will be the sleeve. Remember the band doesn't work for every one and when it does it wonderful.

Hi sorry it's call that in Australia. Compressed wheat I think I hope that is right. Not sure what other countries would call it.

Hey I started putting weight on even after a fill. Really bad heart burn at night with a cough also could eat what I wanted. I did enjoy the eating until the wait gain, back to old habits now I have to lean all over again how to eat with a band.

Hi I to just had surgery as my band slipped. The worse thing is mine was a rare slip only 2-4 percent this happens to and I was the lucky one. It's a back ward slip or something like that. I had it replaced on Monday so I am a week post op tomorrow and still in the world of hurt. But thankfully I have very Good pain relief. Hope all goes well and good luck

Hi I was banded again on the 15/7 still very sore and the pain 2nd time round is a killer.

Hi I had mine done 4 yrs ago and port site Still hurts specially when I get refilled as sometimes it decides to flip. I was hoping when I was rebanded on Monday due to a slip had it moved but wasn't so lucky. So yes it can be uncomfortable. My Dr always tells me to talk to it before each refill. Lol
