  1. I keep hearing baby first then weight loss...for some woman the weight loss is the only option to having the baby. I for example need lap band to lose the weight to eventually have a baby.
  2. Check out bariatricfoodie.com great recipes including protein shake recipes that are awesome!
  3. I told my job that I had a hernia surgery. They are fixing it while they are in there so it is not a lie. If people ask about the weight loss I plan to say I have made a lifestyle change. I may eventually tell people depends on the situation. I am a high school teacher. I have an internal moral quandary as to what to tell my inquisitive students. Lol
  4. Check out bariatricfoodie.com great protein shake recipes. Peanut brittle is my favorite!
  5. Thank you for that info. Makes sense back in my slimfast days the same thing would happen.
  6. No milk just water. There is no lactose issues. Months with no cheese is going to make me crazy. Lol
  7. I started my pre op diet yesterday. 2 meals are protein shakes, 1 meal is 6-8 oz lean meat, 1 cup green veggies and 1 cup fruit (no banana). I have spent most of today on the toilette. Will this last the entire 3 weeks pre op? Also any advice for what to have in the house post op, not just food wise but anything that can help? Thanks, Holly
  8. My name is Holly and I turned 40 in May. I have been chubby my entire life and after yoyo dieting went from chubby to obese, from obese to morbidly obese and have reached a new low with super obese! I have been a student with no insurance for years and now while I have insurance they will not cover it but, my husband of a year (life partner of 18) and I have decided we will finance it. I want to be healthy and have babies and my clock is ticking down! I start my 3 week pre-op diet tomorrow! Not happy about the 3 weeks of starving but I know I am ready, in the past year I have graduated college, married my love of 18 years, finished my first year as a SpEd teacher and now wls ! Good Gravy!!! Lol here's to hoping my next big life event involves babies. Lol
