hey all thanks for the warm welcome!! my appointment with Dr. Spiegel was may 27 i called them two weeks later and left a message to check on my surgery status then i got really super busy and didnt get to call back till this week when they said that I needed to call my insurance co..... so i did this and the insurance co said that they had not recieved the letter until July 6th from Dr. Spiegel's office and that the letter itself was dated June 14... so to be really honest right now Im not sure that I am going to stay with Dr. Spiegel.... my family really wants me to go ahead and go to a Dr. in houston... who knows... right now I am just waiting on the answer from the insurance then I will make a dr. decision. Ya'll keep your fingers crossed for me... I should know friday thanks Have a great day Tammy

ok so i kinda got the runaround from my doctors office the past two months... and I have sent a complaint to the office manager- hopefully she can straighten things out Anywhoo... i called my insurance BCBS TRS today and they said that i should have an answer by friday and to call back then.... ughghhhh its killing me! Also I was wondering if having my pcp send a letter would help... she said she would and i called and left that message with my Lapband dr's office but i dont know if they ever contacted my pcp. Should I call and ask my pcp to go ahead and send a letter of their approval of the procedure???? Fingers crossed Tammy

Hello all My name is Tammy and i am 23. I have already had my first consulation with Dr. Spiegel in Southeast Texas- which is where i am from... waiting to hear from the insurance co. I am really happy to find this board! Tammy
