  1. Hi I am in Tampa, Florida and have Tricare Prime, My primary care referred me to a Bariatric Physician back in February, I had to do a mandatory seminar, then on February 11th I had my first appointment with Doctor, I was then contacted by Surgical Coordinator that set me up to do nutrition, psych eval, another nutrition, and fitness evaluation, I had to pay out of pocket for those visits because doctors were not in Tricare network. I did EKG and bloodwork and May 21st they submitted to Tricare , May 22nd they approved and my surgery date was set for June 25th. 2 weeks from now and Counting..... right now I am doing liquids and protein shakes
  2. I don't know how that works, if you gain the extra 12 will it harm your health further, if not talk to the doctors office about it! Good luck
  3. I started my 2 week liquid diet on Monday, I still have not ripped off any ones face so I think that is amazing, I have adopted a little trick for when I get hungry but it is not time for me to have another protein shake or snack, I purchased no calorie no fat broth in powder form and I add hot water and take small sips it actually tricks me into feeling full and like I had a meal, other wise I drink lots of water and try to stay super busy, my nook is my best friend at night! I wish you all the best What day is your Surgery? I am June 25th
  4. My 2 week diet started yesterday and it is pretty straight forward Unjury protein powders (various flavors) 4 times a day 2 with fat free milk 2 with any other beverage,2 sugar free pudding,1 oatmeal, 2 Sugar free no fat yogurt Greek preferred,1/2 cup Raw veggies un cooked,1 sugar free apple sauce. and as much sugar free liquids I want. Needless to say I am starving!!!
  5. Have you heard anything new? I have been keeping your situation and you in my thoughts I can not imagine being let down like that! I have faith you will have it done before your Wedding!!!
  6. That is horrible perhaps your 2 week diet was the culprit? I truly hope things work out for you! I am glad that you posted this because that was a concern for me as I am already on the borderline weight wise to have it done on the 25th, they suggested that if I go below 240 with my height I will not be able to do it!
  7. I II I am Two weeks out from my surgery, today I started my two week pre op diet, so far so good it is past noon and no one has gotten their head ripped off! I am nervous and excited about my surgery and honestly will take the bumps in the road if it means that I will no longer yo-yo and can get off the BP meds! At 5'10 and 258 I'm looking forward to one day being back at my normal weight of 150. I wish everyone luck and if anyone has suggestions on these next two weeks of pre op dieting I would love to have them!
