  1. Oh good, one day at a time! Have fun boxing. Just curious, did you get any more put in your band? So far, pretty much the same as yesterday. I imagine I will be starving in the evening again, but I will have tea and I can have unlimited egg whites and veg, so I may make an omelet.
  2. I did that today, it was tasty. Thanks! How are you today?
  3. I started my pre-op this week. It hasn't been easy, but I have already found some tips. Hot tea, herbal or decaf if you are allowed..keeps your mouth busy and it's comforting. Hot baths. Reading - I read in bed, so no food. Crafts, knitting, etc if you like that. I have recently taken up knitting scarves, I also make cards and I do not want messy fingers. Games if you like them, I have a nintendo 3ds, it's handheld there are all sorts of games for all interests and ages. It keeps your hands busy and passes time quite well. Walks/exercise of any kind. This forum! It has been a huge help reading and chatting with others on here! I have also used this site to blog about my journey from the start, writing it all down helps so much. If you would rather not, maybe a private journal. If all else fails, take a nap or go to bed early. I am anxious also, but it is getting better the more I read how normal all my feelings are and that I am not alone! Good luck!

I am not there yet, but I do have a teen and yes they are pretty selfish. They just can't help it. lol Try not to let it hurt your feelings. Once you heal and feel better you can do other fun things that don't involve food, or at least better foods, and this will also set a great example for your family. That's my plan. Outings, mini-putt, hikes, swimming/beach, family game night, back yard sports - always wanted to play laser tag! etc. I was a size 2-4 at one point in my life, but I wish I knew then about eating better and activity. I try to tell my teen to be conscious of the types of foods she eats not only for her health in general, but there may come a day when it all catches up...it all caught up to me.
  5. Congrats and welcome. I am right behind you on the 21st!
  6. Oh not a silly question at all! I have been thinking about the best thing to wear and was going to go out and buy some pj pants..but glad to have read about a sundress. Great idea!
  7. Good luck and welcome!
  8. Good luck to you and your husband.
  9. I got chilly so I had some tea and it helped with my hunger too. I will try those tomorrow with my salad.
  10. Thank you. Yes, June 21st.

Hang in there and I hope you recover quickly.
  12. Welcome. Your pre-op diet is very similar to mine except I am not allowed toast/bread/grains of any kind and I am allowed to have a meal replacement shake. I am on day 1.
  13. Yes, veggies are unlimited. I will have to try that, thanks!
  14. That is great to hear. I still have the fear of failure. Pre-op diet is not too bad, as I get to eat food and not just liquid. But since supper I have been starving. I am having my surgery done by Slimband in Toronto and it is June 21st. 10 more days! How are you doing?
  15. Oh I am sorry. Tooth pain is no fun.
  16. Oh I love gadgets! I will have to look into fitbit. I have heard of it.
  17. I think I am am going to use a tracker like myfitnesspal. It will help to know how many calories I am consuming, especially on those days when I do have an old favourite.
  18. Hi, I read you are also in Canada? Anyhoo, I am not yet banded but feel free to contact me. I started pre-op diet today.
  19. Good luck! Congrats!
  20. I am, Ottawa area.
  21. Welcome! June 21st here. Good Luck!
  22. From what I've been reading, it is due to the CO2 gas they blow up your insides with during surgery. Now, I haven't had mine yet, so I'll wait and see other's responses.
