  3. I wish you smooth procedure and speedy recovery!
  4. Yay, lots of readers. carolinagirl, Duh me! I have heard of her actually. I have the CeeCee book on my to read list on Goodreads. I'll have to bump that up on my list.
  5. Welcome Shelly, I am happy for you.
  6. That sounds interesting, never heard of her before.
  7. Maybe you'll find some ideas here.
  8. Ah I have read 2 Dan Brown books. Is that your typical go-to genre? I am currently reading, To Die For: A Novel of Anne Boleyn by Sandra Byrd.
  9. Very inspiring! Thank you. You can do it, you will do it! I can hear your determination in your posts.
  10. I didn't see a topic for books. I love to read and hear about what others are reading. It's also a great distraction! Tell me about what you are currently reading.
  11. Best of luck! I am just before that on the 21st!
  12. I emailed my contact again this morning, so I hope she has news. I really hope I don't have to go hungry , there is nothing more frustrating and counter-productive to our weight loss efforts than feeling starved. loI I am still having some doubts and fear of failure..or getting halfway to my goal and not all the way. I try to squash those thoughts. Ok, I am near Ottawa. Oh I bet the massage was great! Have a a great day!
  13. Welcome! You'll find great advice and helpful members here.
  14. Congrats! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
  15. Glad to hear it all went smoothly. Hope you feel less sore soon!
  16. I like to add stevia (or splenda) and cinnamon to greek yogurt. That combo is also good in cottage cheese warmed up a bit.
  17. Today, I am more stressed. The clinic hasn't received my ECG results yet. They need to review them before surgery is a go. I don't want my June 21st date to change. Other than that, I am still eating what I'm supposed to. That soreness is a good kind. Did I ask you where in Canada you were?
  18. Good Morning, That's great! It helps so much to enjoy what you are doing.
  19. Hi! Oh glad you are doing ok. I'll be on the other side next week!
  20. I don't suppose you know of any groups in the Ottawa area?
  21. You are the day before me. I'd love to share our journeys.
  22. Last night! Darn pizza commercials... Saturday I am going to a workshop and there is guaranteed treats. Sunday, father's day and my dad's girlfriend invited us for dinner..I declined and said we'd come out and visit for the day instead. She said "oh great, we'll have lunch." I told her not to go to any trouble and she said we'll just do a bbq...Think I'll text her back and tell her I am bringing chicken breasts. They don't know about my upcoming procedure.
  23. I have had these feelings on and off but I felt much better reading posts on here and knowing that all this is normal. In fact, I just had another episode of "should I really do this" about 1/2 hr ago...I was getting grouchy from being hungry on the pre-op...but I read your post and then sp70's response and I feel better. Also self paid, deposit done.
  24. That's good to hear, glad all is going good. I am heading to Toronto next week (different clinic). I am hoping I am ok enough for the 4.5 hr car ride home later that day/evening.
