  1. Thank you for your comment! I went and got one for my nose today, HOWEVERRRRRR, I still have the two down below... I will ask them to remove it, before surgery tomorrow, I guess!
  2. The instructions given to me say: REMOVE ALL BODY JEWELRY. Gggggrrrrrrr!!! I have had quite a few surgeries before and no doctor has ever requested me to take mine off. I have a nose ring (that will probably be closed by the end of the surgery) and two other piercings.... Removing those is out of the question!!! Anyone else experience this or something TOTALLY different??
  3. I know a thing or two about sewing, I'll be taking in my pants for as long as they can continue to look like pants
  4. I'm not many people either. They're on a need to know basis....
  5. Did anyone mess up during their pre op liquid diet?
  6. Yes, they are ALL normal feelings and insecurities. Youre gonna need a great support system, so unless you think your close family members are going to sabotage you, it will be very hard to hide it from them.
  7. The liquid dies isn't so much to make you lose weight per-se, although it is recommended you do before surgery, as it is to SHRINK YOUR LIVER. The liver sits right above your stomach and shrinking it makes the procedure less complicated. I've been on the liquid diet for a week and I've lost VERY little. Enough that my pants fit more comfortable, but not enough that I need to go shopping ???”
  8. Have you tried talking to another doctor with more compassion?

  10. Congrats on your decision, Lurker! And congrats on your first post! I'm getting banded on Saturday.
  11. Today was my first time EVER!!! It was quite satisfying, although I had to add some hot sauce to make it taste a little better
  12. I'm wondering if egg drop soup from the Chinese place is ok for pre op
  13. Maybe I should have asked: what's the average time incisions take to heal?
  14. Does anyone know how soon after lap-band surgery one can enjoy the beach and pool, assuming everything goes as planned.
  15. Thanks for all the insightful posts.
  16. I guess it's because I'm currently on the liquid diet that I'm "mourning". I plan to follow EVERY SINGLE RULE
  17. I'm yet to be banded.... 7/20 (next Saturday)
  18. Sad that I probably will never again eat even a few bites of a (bun-less) burger
  19. There are countless organizations that exist exclusively for the betterment and benefit of WOMEN. Go to your local library and do some research. You are worth so much more than he k knows. JUST DO IT!
