  6. Surgery July 1 ... Started per op liquid diet Monday the 17. Monday was hard but I survived. My anxiousness and excitement are overwhelming at times but I feel this is the right choice for me to be healthy. I'm doing 1000 calories mainly protein shakes n a diet snappily n a jello. Hoping my motivation will last lol. I just keep saying I can chew again in August we got this July bandsters I think making this choice was the hardest part at least for me still haven't told a lot of people maybe ill get to it....
  7. i started the pre op liquid diet and the bathroom is an issue. I am a speech pathologist so I work o a 1/2 hr schedule so I try and run to bathroom in between children. I also do home care and sometimes the 30 mins btwn houses is difficult im running straight to the bathroom. I bought a lunch box cooler maybe for the in btwn time you can drink a protein shake I put an ice pack in my "lunch box" and put my ice in my shaker cup and place in fridge at work and it stays cold not icey and it worked today pretty good. I think its all about the planning and the cooler has saved my life in my dieting journey did similar tricks when I was on weight watchers and with the band I imagine we need less food to feel full. I wont be banded until 7/1/13 so we will see
  8. Thanks Frederic that's how I feel I feel like I do all the right things for the lost part I'm not perfect I'm human so I'm hoping this tool will finally enhance my efforts
  9. Thank you both so much . My surgeon had it Done to himself and said the same but as the date comes closer so does the anxiety thank you for helping me ease it
  10. I'm getting banded July 1 started my preop liquid diet. Super excited and even more anxious. I'm not afraid of the "eating" part because despite being obese I do eat healthy especially the last few years but I'm worried how I will feel physically. All the drs seem like being banded is no big deal and will be great for me. My family and friends have been extremely supportive. I'm imagining that once I make it to chewing solids I will feel like I did three days ago. I'm just worried if I will physically feel different. All the anxiety is from the unknown and for someone who is borderline a control freak it's scary .... Any input would be greatly appreciated. I feel this is the right and healthiest decision for me. I'm not losing 100 + pounds without this tool or I would of I've been on a diet since 10 yrs old Thanks
  11. Congrats !!! 2 weeks to go
  12. You don't need luck you have determination. I think deciding to get banded is a huge step

I know if I told them they would be supportive but I like to keep work n personal life separate ... I don't wanna lie to them I guess when I get the surgery date tomorrow I can figure it out . Just wanted to get real life feed back. This site has been so very helpful!!!
