  1. I was strictly liquids for 5 days. I wish I could've had a meal. I'm not a weight watchers meal fan, but I would've gladly gobbled down one after drinking protein shakes and broth. lol
  2. My surgery is at 7:30 am. They said he likes to be early so if it goes up they'll call me today. I'm glad it's somewhat early this 5 day liquid diet has been challenging. What time is your surgery?
  3. I'm having surgery tomorrow as well. I am also nervous and excited. I think those are great emotions. This is a major life change we are embarking on. If we had no emotion something would be seriously wrong I think lol. Best of luck to you tomorrow!!
  4. I am new here but wanted to share my story. I'm a single mom of 2 ready to make a change. I started getting my approval last year for lap band wls, but lost my insurance right after I got approved. I was so down I gave up. Then this year I decided to start over. February I saw my surgeon and had to do my dietician visits. My last visit was in April. I was given my surgery date of May 30, 2013. I was so excited and scared at the same time. I had some drawbacks getting my records transferred from the old surgeon to the new one and my blood pressure was too high. My Dr finally approved my surgery yesterday. I have been on a 5 day liquid diet since Saturday. This was so challenging with memorial day, but much to my own surprise I survived. I felt like I should've earned a pin that says "I'm having wls in 5 days and I survived memorial day" I am having surgery tomorrow. I'm happy and worried all at the same time. The only people that know about my surgery are my sister, her husband, my cousin, and my boyfriend. I don't want my kids to know thinking this is an easy out. I want them to see me eating better and working out. I am praying that this is the beginning of a new life for me and my family. I have a chronic kidney disorder as well so anything I can do to get healthier I'm all for it. I really just wish I had more of a support system. Hence why I am so happy I found this forum! :-)
