  1. I take prozac in caplets with no problems
  2. Hi all, i go over my upper GI results with my surgeon on friday but Im curious if anyone knows what it means when you tighten your stomach muscles during the test & barium flows back up your esophagus. I had a slip, total unfill, may 29th. I have a feeling i have a hiatal hernia.
  3. Update: still having issues even though i have an unfill. A lot of gurgling/air movement at times that gets painful until it moves. Ive also had a few spasms in my throat. Wednesday is the upper GI & Fri is appt with surgeon to go over results & find out whats going on.
  4. I can relate to the anxiety, it sent me to the ER last Friday with chest pains. I have since went to my MD and now starting with Viibryd to help control it. I am on day 5 and already can tell its helping a bit.
  5. Hi everyone, i just had a complete unfill May 29 & so far Ive lost 9lbs. I needed an unfill because of a small slip. I think the unfill allowed me to eat how I am supposed too now because before I was too tight & could only eat those bad foods that go through my band easily. I am now completely anal about logging my food and keeping track of how much Im consuming because the slip scared me so much. Just my experience so far
  6. Ive been diagnosed with a slip may 29 & now have a total unfill. I have been having little sharp pains off & on now ever since. Today more so than usual so i called my surgeon's nurse. I will definitely go to the ER if i feel the need, but she mentioned a few people that have a slip and an unfill complained about the same thing. My pain is associated right where my band is.
  7. I had small sharp pains before the unfill, after the unfill it was "sore/achy" for a day. My dr told me that after the unfill I may feel when it corrects itself, similar to the pain I had when it slipped. I experienced that a little bit yesterday. Pain is located right where the band is postioned-chest area. Spoke to my surgeons nurse today & she said Im ok. I was just curious about others "feeling" their slip or when it corrects itself.
  8. Im sorry to hear about your problem with the band. Good luck with the sleeve
  9. Can anyone tell me their experience with an unfill due to a slip? Could you feel it correct itself? Small sharp pains? Achy/sore feeling? The outcome?
  10. Youre right Im totally fixated on eating EXACTLY how i should be. I have a 2 month wait to see if its corrected itself due to the fact that my surgeon is in another state & i have to fly back for my check-up. I guess in my mind I hoped that if I was able to get back on track and lose some of the weight i regained, that itd give me an even better chance of correcting itself.
  11. May 29th I had a total unfill due to a small slip. I was banded Dec 2006. This is the first issue I've had with my band, so I was wondering... Shouldnt I feel hungry? Ive actually lost 3 lbs since the unfill. Does this mean it hasnt corrected itself yet? I'm just worried because I've seen so many people talk about the hunger with an unfill.
  12. I know exactly how you feel! I was banded in NE & had a heck of a time finding a Dr in the tampa area that would take me for less than $400 out of pocket! I decided it was cheaper to fly back to NE & pay $65.
  13. I got my lapband 12/05/06 in Lincoln Ne with Dr Raymond Taddeucci. I started out with a presurgery weight of 252lbs. After 10 mos i weighed 148lbs. Fast forward until 2009, moved out of Ne to Ky, then to Fl. i guess i dont handle stress well, so i gained back 40lbs. 188lbs is where i am currently at 6-1/2yrs after getting my band. I just found out i have a small slip and now a complete unfill- hoping it fixes itself. I wish everyone luck on their weight loss journey & i'm glad to be a part of this great online support group.
  14. Curious, anyone have a small slip which resolved itself after an unfill? I hope thats the case with me but im worried it wont fix itself. My Dr said i may even feel when it fixes itself. (Ouchy) he also said its about a 70% chance it will resolve itself. Any encouragement?
  15. Im hopin like hell it fixes itself, i am still liquids until tomorrow. Band feels kinda sore now. Im careful cuz i dont want surgery
  16. Small slip with complete unfill
  17. Will do! Thank you for being her & caring!
  18. Hello Everyone! I was banded 12/05/06. Starting weight 252lbs. Lowest weight 148lbs. Current weight 188lbs.
  19. One more day to get through then i find out Wednesday whats going on
  20. Thanks for the links! I do have the 4cc band with the procedure of it being wrapped in place.
  21. Hi All, Last Sunday I experienced a sharp pain in my chest. I suspect its band related because I've been to the ER twice and EKGs are normal and I have no other symptoms of heart problems...vitals all great etc. I was originally banded 12/05/06 in NE. I moved to FL 3yrs ago and have had a terrible time finding a lapband DR that would take me, if they did it would cost $400 out of pocket, which I just don't have. I have, however, made an appt with my Dr that installed the lapband since I will be visiting NE on vacation. With all that said I have 10 more days to wait until I find out whats going on and this is driving me to anxiety/panic attacks. Has any vet had this issue before? It feels like short sharp pinching pains, shortly after I hear/feel a lot of gurling noises like I did after my band surgery. The nurse that scheduled my appt tried to reassure me that if I was not throwing up and not having problems getting food down then I will most likely be ok until the appointment. I have read up a bit on this and wonder if it could be gas related?? I recently have had issues with gas/bloating and have been put on a high fiber diet. Anyone else experience this? I have limited myself to very soft food and liquids until I know for sure. Sorry for the long post, but any input is welcome. Thanks, Annette
