  1. I went back to work today and I feel pretty good still. I'm tired, but not exhausted. I'm sorry you're having such a bad day today :-( When can you have a Protein shake? I was allowed at day 3. I hope it gets better dear, hang in there.
  2. I thought my nausea was bad, I'm so sorry it kept you in for 2 days :-( Glad you're feeling better now though. I'm going to work tomorrow too. Hope it goes well for both of us :-)
  3. Hi Judy, I was also banded on the 13th and I'm with you on the gas pains. Just keep walking around and use a heating pad, that seems to be working for me. There is a discussion group under the monthly support groups called "Early June 2013 Banders?" (I think that's it) join us!
  4. Mine wanted me to wait a week too, but I can't. I train teachers over the summer and we only train 4 weeks out of the summer. We are short on trainers this year, so if I backed out they would have to cancel those sessions. It shouldn't be too bad, I train with a partner so I'll only be "on" about 3 of the six hours. And I can sit whenever I need to. I'll still take the prayers though :-)
  5. I thought my stomach was growling too so I opened a Protein Shake. I've taken 3 sips and don't feel like drinking any more, so I think the grumbling is gas. I don't have much pain today. Hopefully I'm on the upside of recovery because I go back to work tomorrow :-/
  6. No, I haven't got on the scale yet. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday. Yeah, my doctor said most don't get sick, I guess I was one of the lucky ones :-)
  7. Is this why I can't see?!? I thought my eyes have gotten worse. I had 3 doses of nausea meds in my IV yesterday and the patch because I was sick after surgery. The nurse told me to leave the patch on through Saturday as it works for 72 hours. Maybe I'll take it off though. I really would like to read my book. Lol!
  8. Sore, but okay. I didn't fill the pain rx, Tylenol is good enough. Gas X is helping with the gas pains too. How about you? Getting in your fluids ok?
  9. Well, the sundress and sandals were the perfect choice. I'm all done and resting comfortably at home. Thanks for all of the advice everyone!
  10. IndiaB good luck to you too tomorrow! Don't forget to check in (when you can) and let us know how it went.
  11. I'm feeling good too. I was very nauseous after surgery from the anesthesia, which was pretty miserable. Better now though. I got home a little while ago. Gas pains not too bad (I think because all the wrenching made me burp a lot). Glad it went well for you too! Talk to you tomorrow :-)
  12. It's all going to go great. We'll both be here later tonight talking about easy it was :-) See you on the banded side!
  13. I cleaned for the last two days too. Lol! I figured I'd feel better if my room was cleaned. Then I totally rearranged my side of the bed with a bigger side table and a basket for all my books, medicines, chargers, etc. Now I'm settling in to read a chapter and hopefully go to sleep. You're just an hour behind me tomorrow, I'll wait to hear from you! Good luck!
  14. I think I'll pass on THAT fashion advice. But thanks for the laugh :-)
  15. Pretty good I guess. I hope I can sleep :-/ How about you? We're you very hungry with no Protein?
  16. Thanks ladies! I have all of these options, so I'm safe :-) I guess I'm getting nervous and this is what I'm choosing to stress out about. Lol!
  17. This may sound like a silly question, but what did you wear to your surgery? I promise I'm not being fashion conscious. Lol! The hospital says "something comfortable, easy on easy off". I was thinking sweat pants and tshirt, but will it be too painful to bend over to pull up the sweatpants? Maybe a light dress? Any suggestions?
  18. Thanks for the reports ArtM and Big Tex. I hope you are both up and around in no time. I go tomorrow, and I'm starting to get nervous. I've never had any surgery. My only hospital stays were when I gave birth to my children, but I don't think that's comparable to being put under :-) I'll keep you posted!
