  1. I was also on the fence about the band, sleeve, or bypass but I elected for the band because in my opinion the risks were lower and if I had complications it is reversible and since for my age (21) I wanted something that is reversible and I like the fact that you can control how much weight you loose.

  3. My doctor submitted my documentation on Friday 6/28/13 to the insurance. I called my insurance that Tuesday to see if they received it and they said they hadn't and that I should call back when it's been 7 days after the submission.. so I called back Friday they still hadn't got it.. I called back 7/9 nope still hadn't got it... I called today " yes ma'am we received it on 6/28/13 as a fax and you was approved on 7/1/13..... This really made me mad that they didn't tell me before but never the less I'm super excited to get my band!

I've chosen to only tell some close friends about my decision because my family are blabber mouths and even though I'm not ashamed or embarrassed that I'm wanting this surgery I don't want everyone in the south to know also. Any encouragement, advice, wisdom.... whatever you have will be greatly appreciated!

I haven't told many people about my decision just some close friends not even my mother! My question is how did you all figure out who you were gonna tell and do you have a lot of extra skin I'm considered severe morbidly obese but I'm still gorgeous! I'd love to hear from you guys cause I need all the support I can get especially from people my own age!
