  2. I can understand how you're feeling and what you're saying! I still have a long way to go and am just beginning my weight loss I hope so I look forward to people noticing! But I also long for the day that I'm just me! People see me & I see me and dont think of my weight & how much I've gained or lost!
  3. Glad you got to see a DR that listened! I hope the fill does the trick for you but it looks like you've been losing quite well based on your ticker even without a fill!
  4. I think I may be too tight. I can't tolerate solids very well & eat very little! I'm exercising & still not losing much. When you say you are tolerating solids well and staying full for long periods....can u give me an idea how much you are able to eat at one time? Congrats to you! I cantwait to be able to post something like this.
  5. Do you have some suggested reading or websites? I'd really like to understand it better! I'm getting very frustrated as well. Im 3 months post op & I've only lost about 12 lbs since being banded. I have started logging my calories & doing moderate exercise but the scale just isnt moving! I keep telling myself it has to move at some point but its not moved in 2 weeks & I've done everything right & definitely kept my calories at or below 1200 each day....mostly below. I've had 3 fills & I think I'm possibly in green aside from not losing weight!!!!!

  7. I notice a pain in my back often too since being banded. I don't think it's from being constipated. I've wondered how/what it has to do with the banding but feel like it must have.....
  8. I was banded on May 7 and had trouble eating much of anything for the first 10 days. But unfortunately since then...I can eat just about anything...and TOO MUCH of it. I do get full quicker. I do have to think about my bites and chewing and eat more slowly....but I've not lost any weight since my 1 week post op check up!! I go for my first fill this week on Thursday and I'm more than ready for it! I need restriction in order to fill full quicker and stay feeling satisfied for longer periods of time. Can others tell me how long before you started experiencing steady weight loss?
  9. Good luck to everyone on their upcoming surgeries! Mine was yesterday!!! I just found this site today! I was only on the liquid diet for 8 days pre-op and lost 12 lbs. I go in for my follow up next Thursday. The one thing I've noticed on here so far is that several people have posted either they have never gotten a fill or they are reluctant to get filled...I don't understand that. The way the band works is through filling it to the right amount for each person to get the proper restriction and thus weight loss. Why would someone not get it filled?
