  1. Thanks everyone! I've had a pretty rough day. Due to the vomiting they did a Barium Swallow. The good news is there is no obstruction but as they suspected I am very tight from the amount of swelling. So even a sip is hard to get down right now. It's just crazy cause I went from worrying about getting by on liquids to worrying about getting any liquids down. I know it will get easier but I'm just in a tough spot today. I appreciate the continued support. We will all get through this together and be better for it.
  2. I really appreciate all the support. Since starting this post tonight I have become very ill. I keep involuntarily trying to vomit. I have taken phenegren but honestly not sure if it is helping or hurting at this point. So, I may not get back on here for awhile but I really do appreciate all the positive comments.
  3. Thanks for the support. After posting this I had to go to the bathroom and almost vomited:( Feeling really yucky right now and definitely on an emotional roller coaster. I know why I had surgery, I know it will get better but hard to get through this part. Good luck to you. I hate to put anything negative out there but need to say it at the same time.
  4. I was banded on Friday. Today I am feeling a mix of starvation and sick to my stomach. I do not see how I can make it on full liquids for 11 more days. Any tips on how to survive?
  5. 50 lbs is great! Is that since surgery or before? Your body can go through adjustment periods and plateaus. You may need another fill or two before feeling satisfied longer between meals. The important thing is to eat your protein first and make sure you are getting plenty of it. Hang in there, more weight loss will come!
  6. Said a prayer for you and sending good thoughts your way!
  7. Congrats and good luck!
  8. Call your dr!! They may have to unfill you or will at least be able to tell you what to do. Hope you get it resolved quickly!
  9. I hope you are feeling better today. I'm feeling pretty yucky. I felt hungry yesterday but the thought of having anything is making me feel sick today. I know this will pass and just ready to move on!!
  10. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow!
  11. I had my band placed yesterday. I am supposed to start protein shakes tomorrow. How much should I be drinking at one time and overall for the day? My paper work says to take 30 min to drink 4 oz. that means it would take almost 90 min to drink one shake. Is it possible to get the required protein post op??
  12. I was just banded yesterday, May 3rd. I'm doing pretty well. Very sore and tired. Excited to have finally made it here though. I lost 25 lbs from my initial consult to surgery which was 3 1/2 months. Looking forward to more weight loss but more importantly being healthy!
