  2. Hello I'm just home from my EGD. It was great! I was in the same place for my surgery this Friday so I got a little bit of how is going to be. They found a small hernia, they would repair it? Pd. sorry for some nonsense, I'm still a little dope haha.

  5. I have my EGD for the hernia tomorrow at 6am (and I wish to have it so bad! Since my insurance will cover the hernia surgery) and my lapband surgery in Friday. I went to Walmart to get everything that I need: clear broth, Popsicles, Greek yogurt, apple sauce, iced tea, new slippers and a comfy nightshirt for the day of the surgery and others things in the picture

  12. Hi! Being so anxious about my surgery in a couple of weeks just make me dream about all the things I would like to do with my new life. I have 3 dreams: - run a 5k without dying and hurting my knees in the process - be a mom! And have a healthy pregnancy and hopefully not gain that much weight so I can be a cute mommy with only a big belly - using a bikini and get a tan! Maybe my dreams are kind of silly for the "normal" people out there, but it's amazing how this life changing surgery is just giving me the hope that was lost somewhere and make me dream again about those things! 13. It depends of your own goal. I'm 32 BMI and I'm little, only 5.1. I want to be 110 to feel fabulous! But I'm doing this because of my heath and because I have multiple problems related being obese. To be healthy I need to be 132 ( I need to loose 36 pounds). I really want to be realistic about it, so I can accomplish my Heath Goal first Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  14. 20 pounds is awesome! I haven't loose 20 pounds in my life doing all those crazy diets you see in celebrity magazines! You are doing great and I think slowly but making progress one step at the time is the best! Even for you skin, that's needs to get use to the un-streching Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  15. I do have PCOS! And it's been a nightmare for me since I discovered that I was sick 10 years ago. I gained 60 pounds out of nowhere, I started to crave carbs, and went to the Oby and discovered my PCOS. Usually it comes with insuline resistance and metabolic syndrome, so it's really hard to loose weight. I started to have facial hair, skin rushes, and I was on metformine and birth control (to level you hormones) for years, but I never could maintain my weight loss. I gained other 20 pounds over the 60 already had. This is the first time in 10 years that I'm into the obese category (< 30 BMI), and I knew this was not getting any better. That's why I decided to give the lapband a try. I just want to be healthy again, be able to have a family (with my PCOS and my weight right now would be impossible) and just stop feeling so bad about trying hard to loss weight and not to eat bad foods, knowing that my weight loss is only momentary. sometimes I feel riding a rollercoaster! And not really a fun one I will have my lapband on May 10th, and I'm just do happy to get my hope back! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  16. May 10th! Woohoo! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  17. Hi, I was wondering if anyone here is not requiring to do the pre-op diet. My doctor told me that if you are 35 BMI or less, you don't have to do pre-op diet. I'm 32 BMI so I was wondering if I should do it anyways. I'm getting so lazy about it! Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk
  18. Booh. You can try Dr. DeBarros, I've heard good things about him too. http://www.drjohndebarros.com/
