  1. I finally did and you will, too. Just hang in there and keep doing what you're doing! I finally started losing again, just not as fast as in the beginning. But, weight off is a plus no matter how fast or slow it comes off. I know there will be other stalls in the future, but we just have to be patient and keep on keeping on!
  2. I feel exactly the same way, Angel... Here's hoping we both start on the downhill slide again soon!
  3. Thanks ! It's good to hear from people who have had the same issue! It just gets so frustrating when I think about how little I'm taking in. And I think going up 3 pounds is what has been the most frustrating! This is the part where, before surgery, I would typically blow the diet. Good thing about being post surgery, I CAN'T go off diet! lol
  4. Today I am 3 weeks post-op. I have had no weight loss for the last 6 days. In fact, I went UP 3 pounds from my lowest point. I'm getting frustrated and don't know what I can do to get the weight loss going again.
  5. Khloe: please add me to the FB page. cddoyle1978@gmail.com Thanks!
  6. It's kind of funny...I was anticipating the day-before-surgery liquid diet would be really hard. But, it's going much better than anticipated. Just have to keep myself busy today and SLAM the clear liquids ALL day! Another 6 hours and it will be bed time. I'm so excited for surgery tomorrow, I hope I can sleep! lol
  7. Please add me...cddoyle1978@gmail.com
  8. Thanks so much for the info!
  9. I'm having surgery on Thursday. (YAY!) one question I keep forgetting to ask...approximately how long does the procedure take?
  10. I am also having surgery on the 4th! I'm so excited!!!!
  11. That's so exciting! Good luck!, I will be right there with you next Thursday. Prayers sent up for a safe journey to the other side of your journey!
  12. I had my pre-op with the doctor and at the hospital today. It was an insanely long day, but I was excited thru every minute of it! Several people asked me today if I was nervous...I'm too excited and have waited too long for this to be nervous. Maybe next Wed or Thurs I'll get nervous..we will see. Just 1 more week to go! Scheduled for surgery at 11:00 am on April 4th!
  13. Tommy: I got a response from Cigna in 10 days. I've seen some get theirs in 5 days. I don't know if Cigna has different requirements with conversion surgeries, but your surgeon/surgical coordinator should know. However, if you do have to see the NUT Cigna requires 3 visits in 3 months. Good luck!
  14. My surgery is April 4th. I'm so excited to finally get there! This is an incredible journey and opportunity. I will not take this for granted, but plan to work the rest of my life to ensure it works so that I may be blessed with more time on his earth with my wonderful husband and children (and hopefully future grandchildren!).
  15. I am soooo excited! Apparently 3 nut visits was all that was needed...I have been approved for surgery! My surgery date is April 4th! Did I mention that I am excited? lol
  16. What's the best protein shakes? Also, do vertical sleeve patients drink a protein shake 1 meal per day forever the same as by-pass patients do?
  17. Sissy, I am hoping for the same thing...if not late April! Fingers crossed for both of us!
  18. Sorry to hear that, Lain! My BMI is also under 40, but I have high BP, high cholesterol and sleep apnea. Maybe some of it is worse because of age... I'm really hoping they surgery and weight loss reverses all of that. It would really be nice if it could turn the clock back about 10 years...lol Good luck with your surgery!
  19. Call to follow up with your doctor's office. Push them toile sure nothing falls thru the cracks! Good luck!!!!
  20. That's fantastic! I'm hoping for a quick response time from Cigna as well. I went to the nutritionist inJan, Feb, and Mar. I've heard mixed reports on whether that is enough for Cigna, or if I have to go again in April before they will approve the surgery. I hope all goes well with yours! Good luck!!,
  21. Fantastic...congrats! Thanks for the input.
  22. The 3 month requirement...does that mean 3 visits or 4? I've had conflicting information on that detail. How long did it take them to approve your surgery? When did you have yours and how are you doing?
  23. I'm trying to find out how many nutritionist visits CIGNA requires prior to approval for surgery. Also, how long did it take for CIGNA to approve you for surgery?
