  1. I agree that u insist on an answer. Too many doctors will brush u off nowadays and leave u with more ?? Than answers. Good luck I hope u feel better...
  2. On my papers for consent it's listed alone of the side effects of the stomach being empty. Since starting preop diet with the shakes I've had that problem.... Waiting to see what post op is like as I've only been on liquids so no bathroom use yet for number 2. Good luck!
  3. Exercise first thing when u get up. Get up 1/2 hour to an hour earlier and walk at least so U can get it out of the way first thing and then anything you can squeeze in later will be a bonus! As far as unhealthy snacks purge your house and cupboards. If it's not there u can't eat it. If other family members complain oh well. They have to confirm to my lifestyle change here. It's a win win because then the whole family is healthy together!
  4. Thanks. My sister is a nurse and calmed me down! It wasn't buckets but the sight if it was enough to make me freak out. Thank god for a sensible husband and a nurse for a sister. I also called the bariatric nurses who cared for me overnight. I wasn't asking for a diagnosis just if anyone else experienced this. Thank u for those who responded. I'm doing well so far headed into day three!
  5. Thank u all for the kind words of encouragement...surgery went well and I'm Home recovering .... Been bleeding where the have me the blood thinner before sending me home... Anyone else experience this?
  6. Bleeding where they gave me the blood thinner shot!! I thought it was my port incision but its the blood thinner shot.... Weird because in the hospital before surgery I didn't bleed from It but now from today's shot I am....???
  7. Yeah he's an ass. He shoulda taken the time to explain your nutrition better.... Mushy phase should be protein. Simple that's all he had to say.
  8. I'm not even banded ( later today) but have lost 37 lbs and am cold all the time too!
  9. Headed to the hospital in an hour I've prayed over this surgery that all will go well. I've followed all my surgeons preop diet instructions and will keep everyone posted on how this goes!! See u on the other side! stay dry everybody !!!
  10. I thought I was the only one!! I usually don't even have morning breath! But I have the feeling if cotton mouth quite often and I drink a ton of fluids!
  11. You are looking like a beautiful Barbie!!!
  12. I'm getting banded Thursday!! ready to move forward! Good luck everyone!!
  13. You may be lacking in vitamin d. Get a blood test done to check for deficiencies before taking speed. It's hard on your heart and your heart is already stressed if u r eating 1200 calories or less. Just my thoughts......
  14. I started mine early and the first week was the hardest after the carb crash and withdrawal I've found it's better everyday. Think about the end results and stay busy. I even taught my daughter to make Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes during the first week as I had to avoid contact and that helped. So now after three weeks I'm getting banded in 2 days. Hang in there!!!

  17. I love to drink but alcohol causes fatty liver disease. Being overweight causes fatty liver disease. If u r trying to shrink your liver pre op probably not a good idea. I have given up everything for this preop diet and after my class I didn't wait u til two weeks before my surgery. I started my pre op diet early as to shrink my liver to the best of my ability. Lol I've dreamt of martinis in the beginning and last night cake. Woke up with guilt over that. Couldn't imagine if I had a drink for real. Good luck
  18. I'm finally feeling like im mentally prepared for the next stage of my wl journey. It's definitely been one of those I have a plan but nothing has worked out according to!! I'm learning each day has to betaken as it comes and to give my best each day and leave it at that! For months I've been reading all the posts on her and that has encouraged me so much!! I'm excited to start new and move forward !!! My start weight was 274 I had to lose weight for insurance purposes and and between that and the preop diet I'm down to 240. Hoping to break into the 30's before Thursday!. So at this point no pain no gain!
