About Me

  • Gender
    Female
I had my surgery back in 2008. I weighed 251lbs and I was having a hard time walking long distances, going up and down stairs, sleeping, breathing, you name it and it was hard. I had decided to have the surgery but after a year of trying to lose weight on my own. I knew several people who had the surgery and raved about it. Today, I think I allowed those reviews to push me in the direction of lap band versus doing more research, it was going to be my fix it plan. Since the surgery I lost 50lbs, but never got to my goal weight. I started to regret my decision because I never could get comfort with the foods I was eating or not eating. After 5 years, my side is still sore and the hard rock in my stomach is noticeable to me. I'm frustrated and so is my husband because he is the cook and I can't seem to eat anything and he feels bad for me and for me I'm tired of my food getting stuck in my throat. So far, nothing is working. I'm at the point of looking to see what is the cost to remove this foreign object in my body, but before doing that I want to try one more time to see if I overcome my obstacle and that is how I found this site.
