1. I am curious to what you guys who have lost 100 eat in a typical day. I was just banded 2 weeks ago and am trying to get ideas. Can some of you post your daily menus? Thanks in advance!!!
2.

I was banded on the 18th and the doc told me to take the strips off after a few days, maybe the strips have been on too long? They probably need airto heal.

3. Are you eating regular food? I was banded on the 18th also and am on liquids for 2 weeks and then mushies for 2 weeks.
4. Baby oil gets the sticky stuff off pretty good...
5. Suzzzie- what is an example of what you eat in a day? I'm on full liquids and am having trouble with what to eat to get the protein and veggies.
6. Anyone taking pills for their pain instead of elixers? My elixer is about gone, I was banded Monday, and was thinking about not getting it refilled because I can't stand it really. Also Anyone else's stomach just rumble and bubble and make all kinds of noise?
7. I was banded 2 days ago and I can't get too far from a toilet. Like one post said "liquid in, liquid out". My stomach rumbles the minute after I take one sip of anything and out it comes it seems.
8. Well I'm officially banded! I am 1 day post op and feeling pretty good for the most part. I don't have too much gas thankfully. I do feel like I've been beaten by a baseball bat in the front. I cannot stay out of the bathroom, liquid BMs, anyone else have that problem? My tummy rumbles and then off we go. I am not hungry, just sipping on water and a little jello so far. I think I'll take a trip to Wal-mart later if i feel up to it.
9. well, it's almost 6am, my mom should be here any minute to take me to surgery. Good luck to the others getting banded today! I'm off for mine, woohoo!!!
10. well, it's almost 6am, my mom should be here any minute to take me to surgery. Good luck to the others getting banded today! I'm off for mine, woohoo!!!
11. I see some of you talking about how you wanted certain kinds of lapbands, how did you know what kind you wanted? How are they different? P.s. Sorry if this posted several times, it acted like it wasnt going through and so I pushed the button a couple times......
12. I see some of you talking about the different kinds of bands, how did you know which kind you wanted? What is the difference?
13. I guess I missed the original post about the bullet. I keep seeing you guys talk about it.... is it just a blender?
14. Any other Junies in Kansas? I'm having mine done in Topeka.
15. Anybody drink Isopure on the pre-op diet? I see a lot of it on the post op.......
16. Anybody cheat at all on the pre-op diet? I am on day 3 and my son was eating cheese/peanut butter crackers right next to me and the crunch sound got to me. I had a small cup of plain white tuna and like 4 or 5 small/broken chips. I'm supposed to be on just liquids, so that was kind of bad.......
17. checking my signature/ticker......
18. So how many of you have to spend the night in the hospital? Mine is at 8am on Monday and they say I'll be out by noon. I see some posts from some of you that had to stay.
19. I am having surgery on Monday also and going back to work Thursday, the nurse said it should be ok, I sit at a desk also. Good luck!
20. Juleeann- I think I'd rather have your pre-op diet! All I can have for the rest of the week is clear liquids, broth-jello-water-etc. I can have one or two protein shakes made with skim milk a day also. I use unjury, they are not bad. I was such a sugar junkie, I'm afraid I'll have no energy by the time the week is over.
21. Hey, I'm new here, I'm getting banded on the 18th. I started my pre-op diet today, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get through this next week, today was hard!
22. I suffer from chronic lower back pain. I haven't gone to the doctor to get any major tests done because I think when I lose weight it will go away. Basically I just think the pain is caused by my 250lb body. I am awaiting Ins approval any time, so I hope to be banded this summer. Did anyone else have this problem, and did it go away after being banded and losing? Thanks!!!:help:
23. I am still awaiting insurance approval, started in October, I think they have everything they need, so it should be soon I hope! Is there anybody out there that this hasn't worked for? I see so many success stories. And when I say hasn't worked, I don't mean because of slippage or problems, I mean it was in there properly with fills and didn't work.
