  2. Hey there! Anyone still out there that was banded in Feb, 2011? I'd love to hear how you are doing? Set backs, goals, weight loss, anything you want to share. I was banded on February 8th, 2011.
  3. I've had my band for 2 yrs. Any time I do a lot of stomach exercises I get sore and feel like it pulls...but I had a port revision about 2 months after I was banded because my port flipped. They went in and placed it higher. I have asked about that soreness and pulling and it is absolutely normal. You are still recovering so I imagine that is probably you still healing
  4. I had the same thing happen to me over and over. I waited a whole year before I went in again. I had maintained the 20+ pounds that I had lost and had not gained. This was only my second fill and I had 6cc already in there and was given another 2 cc last Friday. I'm excited to say that I feel the restriction and a fullness that I never had before. Give it time...you will get the fill that you need

  6. Hi there! It could be water retention. What types of foods are you eating? Are they high in sodium? I know when I eat too much sodium I gain water weight. Don't be discouraged, hang in there. Each person's body is different.

  12. Nope, it has happened to me. I've found over the last several weeks that if I eat my protein like I am supposed to....I do not feel hungry. My favorite protein to eat is the Starkist individual packs...they come in a multitude of flavors, pack almost 20 grams of protein per pack. My favorite is the sweet and spicy. I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out on my introduction to chew, chew, chew. Hope this helps. You are not alone. I was banded two years ago and for the last year I've lost nothing because I was mad at the stupid band. What I was really mad at was...ME! I go for my second fill tomorrow. Hang in there and don't give up like I did.

  17. Thank you Missy! I appreciate that. I do know what to do and I must do it.
  18. Hi everyone! Glad to be here. I had my lap band surgery February 8,2011. I haven't lost much weight either. I have finally come to realize that I am the one responsible for my weight loss. No more over eating and not feeling like I have anyone to talk to. I go for my second band fill this Friday, March 8, 2013. I'm ready to start this journey again and do what I am told instead of doing what I want. Please bare with me and offer encouragement....that's what I need!
