  1. Lisa in Toronto maybe we should start another thread for our meeting after all this is Argon's page. xoxo
  2. I'm up for that.
  3. Lisa in Toronto you are doing fantastic. Have you lost all this weight only since July 07?????? How the hell are you doing it besides running? You must tell me and I will buy you the coffee!!
  4. Hi Ghost Have you tried wearing the girdle type thing you had just after your surgery to try and decrease the swelling. I wouldn't let it go to long as you want to get into those smaller clothes asap. Try to put your feet up too whenever you can. You look fabulous and it will only get better from here. Congrats.
  5. I know that feeling. Fill yourself up on FatFree jello or pudding. Yoghurt and soup will work too. Not your cream of stuff soup, but low cal cup a soup etc. You will always need to watch with stuff like bread, donuts, etc. they seem to become just a mass of dough in my tummy and it ain't pretty coming back up. I did try a tortilla wrap with lots of shredded lettuce, sliced thin chicken, and salsa and it went down very well AS LONG AS I TOOK SMALL BITES AND CHEWED IT TO DEATH. It is a live and learn experience. Some of the bandsters here have no trouble whatsoever with breads and pizza etc., Not me.
  6. You look fanfriggintastic!!!!! I hope that your arms turn out to be all you want them to. Your belly and back look fantastic. No flab and nice and flat. You must feel like a million bucks....minus of course the surgery costs....LOL. Best to you always:whoo:
  7. I just got my medic alert from Lauren's Hope. It was expensive and I ordered it too big but it is nice and I feel better. I only put "No blind NG tube". Now I wish I had put No NSAID as well.
  8. Hi there. I don't live in Ameliasburg but I have a cottage on Consecon Lake just down the road from you. I close it up for the winter but start going back up in April. (It seems to get earlier every year!!) Keep in touch and I promise to catch up with you next spring. The band is the best thing I've ever done.
  9. Well, my little Donna .....Won't you look absolutely fabulous on my arm later this month, hmmmm
  10. Go Mandi, Go Mandi, Go Mandi, chant with me now.....
  11. Be proud, be very proud!!
  12. Thanks Losing.....now I'll have to look at Jaqui scantilly clad for the next 4 months, whew!!!
  13. My mom had this done years ago and the scar now is white but noticable because it is kinda shiny. It was pretty ugly for many years. Everyone scars differently and there is now way of knowing how yours will turn out. Good luck to you.
  14. Jachut aren't you getting a bit chilly yet? You have been in that bikini for weeks now. Just kidding, if I looked like you I wouldn't dress either!!!
  15. What is this drink supposed to do for you?
  16. I got goosebumps myself from reading all of the support directed at you but would be shared with any one of us. We really are all in this together and I feel proud to know that I have so many "friends" here in bandster land. Only we know what it is like to go through this stuff. Always here for you, D:girl_hug:
  17. Lisa in Toronto you are doing fabulously. Will I see you at lunch today at Papps in Pickering?
  18. Hi Loriely Yes, the Yau man himself gave me the fill, and he is good at it. He gave me .5 ccs but he also gave me a lecture telling me that I am probably eating around the band, soft foods and too much of them. I told him that I agreed. Well, I can really feel the difference now. I can't chug my Water anymore and I really really need to chew, chew and chew some more or else, you know what. So, needless to say I am trying very hard to make good choices and get moving from this plateau of mine. Maybe you will see the difference the next time we meet. xoD Peaches good going girl!! You are so right about the little push in the right direction that we all need every now and again and I can't thank you bunch of wonderful bandsters for your kind and non-judgemental support. D
  19. Susan I am so happy to hear from you. I too have been at a stand still. I went to see Dr. Yau and he told me that I am eating around the band. He gave me a small .5 fill and boy do I feel the difference. We are all in this together and boy can you feel the support and hugs or what. What a great bunch you all are. I am proud to be a part of you!
  20. Hi Loriely Dr. Yau sure knows how to do a fill. He thinks that I am eating around the band which means that I eat soft foods and too much of them. He gave me .5cc and boy do I feel it already. He said to eat Protein veggies and little carbs. Eat every 3 hours. I am trying that. I hope my fill doesn't get any tighter in the coming days because I now know the meaning of chew chew chew or else. I can't chug Water like I could before. If it is too much, I won't hesitate to get a little taken out.
  21. Marcar you are having some serious weight loss!!!Good for you.
  22. Did you get a good refund?
  23. Great to see you too Loriely. I hope you are all fixed up real soon. Maybe I'll see you at Papps on November 4th too. My daughter loves that I'm hanging with you guys. She thinks you're all very cool.
  24. Hi Loriely I sent out a reminder last week and you are the only one who replied... I don't know who is coming but if it's just you and I do you still want to go ahead?
  25. Hi everyone, just a friendly reminder about lunch this Sunday at Swiss Chalet in Port Hope. See you all there. :hungry:
