  1. The show will air on or about November 17th. It is episode 10 and the title is "The Curse of the Ninth" They shot several scenes in John's Recording studio. So he is tickled about that. There is a scene where Melinda (jennifer) and Samson (JC from Nsync) are standing at the console looking at a Video screen. There is a scene where a father and son are around a baby grand piano (OURS). There is a scene where Jennifer and JC are walking down the hallway into the Studio Control room. There is a scene where they are walking out of a room into the studio then into the Studio Control room again. There is a scene with the father and son where the father throws the guitar down in disgust. There is a scene with Camryn Manheim (delia on the show) in OUR kitchen talking on the phone to Jennifer (Melinda). There is a flashback scene with Camryn thinking back to when her hubby Charlie was alive. It is a Birthday scene with Her, charlie and son Ned around a glass top table with a Birthday cake. That is in our backyard. There is a scene where someone is burning CD's and Tapes which was filmed in our backyard. Very fun stuff. I won't give away the story line but man it will be a fun episode to watch. We just got a phone call today from one of the producers wanting to know if John minded if they used one of his CD's in a scene. Not sure which one they are using so look for either a Christmas one or one that says OVERDUBS with a RED circle with a line through it. It acutallys means NO OVERDUBS. I will post some more pics so you can get a fell of what it was like to be invaded. We were there with the whole crew and cast all day long. We were treated like royalty. They told us to eat with them from the catering truck. It was OK nothing fancy. We sat down to eat with Camryn. TOO COOL!!!!
  2. Ha! Did I meet her? Here is a pic to prove it. LOL!!!! By the way ladies, she is just as pretty in person but man does that woman have some hips on her. WOW!! I was shocked.
  3. I woke up to find the catering tents are up and going full swing. There are loads of SEMI's on our street full of equipment. They are working like mad. I bet there is at least 100 people maybe more for this film day. WIll post when I get some new pics.
  4. And half of the studio transformed into a piano room. By the way the Piano is ours.
  5. Here is why my kitchen window is all blacked out.
  6. Here is some more to enjoy
  7. Here are some pictures to enjoy. Jennifer Love Hewitt will be here tomorrow and I hope to get a pic with her. If I get lucky I will post the pic.
  8. OK Pam as one RN to another RN think about this now. You have a HOLE in your stomach where the band eroded into RIGHT? Now they take the band our and repair the HOLE. You will need to be careful in your diet (more than when you had it put in). I was on clear liquids for a week then Liquids, then mushies, then soft food. That is 4 weeks just for that. And during that time you might not get in enough nutrition to give your body what it needs to recuperate. Then in two weeks you being asked to go back and have ANOTHER surgery to put a band around your stomach where there is already a compromised area. TOO SOON!! Now that said, if you feel it is safe and you are all for it then go for it. But just keep all the facts about what your body is and will be going through. I had about 50% erosion and mine was taken out by laparoscopically. I was not a happy camper the next day. Had to have an upper GI where I drank that awful barium to check for leaks. Some like Michelle have been able to maintain since losing their bands and I applaud them. I gained 30 lbs in the past year after losing my band. My doc isn't keen to reband due to all the scar tissue from the intial surgery. He suggested a bypass instead. I am still mulling it all over. Just ask yourself Pam, as an RN, what would you say to a patient thinking about what you are looking at. HUGS!!
  9. I was banded by Lopez. You should do a search on this site for his name and you will find lots of info. GOOD LUCK!!
  10. I just heard the Producers love the house so much they want to do an additional shoot in our backyard where someone is burning tapes and CDs. How cool is that? They assured us they will protect the grass and keep the fire under control. Here is a pic of my backyard. And NO those aren't real deer. I loved seeing deer in our yard when we lived in TN so John found me some concrete deer as a substitute. Isn't that sweet?
  11. Angela: BURBANK is in my back yard. I am about 10 min from there. Make sure you let me know where you are gonna be. I will come to meet you for sure. I will remember to ask JLH about her eyes. I love them too. She is a very pretty lady. The loft is the only think NOT wheelchair accessible. And getting up there through our spiral staircase can get hard for me at times with my old broken down knees. The rest of the house is very accessible. Come on over. I will keep a light on. When I get pics of the living room and dining room I will post those as well. Just don't have those pics on my laptop for some reason.
  12. Here is a pic of my Kitchen window
  13. Here are some pics.
  14. I started watching it this season. I have mixed emotions about it. This last episode I watched was about this autistic ghost that was attached to Christmas Ornaments. Pretty awesome show. Had me in tears at the end. The real reason I am posting is to let the GW fans know that the shows producers are filming in our house on the 25th of this month. WHOOPEE!!! THat is true. They are going to be filming one telephone scene in our kitchen and a scene in John's recording studio around the baby grand piano. When I know the exact airing of that episode I will let you all know. How exciting is this? I might actually get to meet Jennifer Love Hewitt. If I can take pics without being a pest I will post some so you can see what was going on. LOLOL!! I will be home in time to experience it all. TOO COOL!! And I might add the money we are getting paid for this shoot is way beyond what I expected. I think it will cover three months mortgage payments. GOTTA LIKE THAT!! Here is how we got so lucky. First, living in the Mecca of Hollywood Filming helps alot to have your house chosen for filming. Second, living on a block where filming happens almost on a monthly basis helps too. They were shooting scenes for an episode of Numb3rs around the corner from our house the other day. Third, listing your house in Universal Locations helps ALOT too. It is this service that lists houses that have unique settings or unique character to the house that some producers might like to take a closer look. Our house is unique to say the least. No it isn't haunted. LOL!! Although the past owner did die in our newly remodeled bathroom. LOL!! Never did like going in there. Now it has a whole new feel. Like he is at peace. CREEPY!! Anyway, our house has a different 'feel' in each room. The living room could be on one of those old wooden boats. It has wooden beams and the ceiling is all wood. VERY NICE!! The dining room has a concave dome with a porcelian chandelier and the ceiling is sculpted plaster. The ONE wall in the dining room is mirrored but not cheesy mirror it is in diamond shapes and has wood trim. The kitchen has a shelf over the kitchen sink where I set my orchids. The windows through the house are leaded stained glass. The kitchen has roses in the windows. It is gorgeous when the sun shines in through it. Our great room has a 15 foot ceiling with sculpted plaster and two ceiling fans. The upstairs is a loft feeling with one wall housing a bookcase and the other is an entry into my Jewelry studio. Then the Attic is off to one side of my studio. The downstairs of the Great room has a 30 ft bar complete with a Capuccino machine - commercial size. Came with the house. LOL!! John's recording studio is off the Great room. The square footage of the house is 5000 including the studio. Living space is approx 3000. The great room could be in used in a scene from a Snow Lodge. It has faux rock walls and wood trim. If you have ever heard of the Madonna Inn in Cambria then this is what the house reminds people of. Our bedrooms are off the great room. Love our house.
  15. Halloween let me see. I usually carve some pumpkins and give out 5 HUGE bowls of candy to our hordes of Trick or Treaters. We ran out of candy one year and had to close our gates and turn off our lights. LOL!! We get usually anywhere from 100 to 200 kids. Loads of fun.
  16. I am so remiss in posting here. I talked to Christina about a week ago. She is doing better and better. Still struggling with recovery but on the road finally. She hasn't come here in awhile mainly because she has been so focused on getting better. She promised she would come and post when she can find the time and feels up to it.
  17. Caffeine can in some cases cause irritation to the stomach lining. This in turn can set up ulcers, which in turn could and I stress COULD NOT WOULD develop into erosion. I did mention in SOME cases. I just know that I have to drink in moderation. I have to have my caffeine as well. If your stomach doesn't burn or you notice any increase in stomach acid then you are probably fine, but nothing is definitive here. I love my Starbuck's as well. I drank ALOT of them when I was banded. I can't say this is what caused me to erode. I can't say it wasn't either. It is all subjective.
  18. I have Pacificare PPO and was told they do not cover the band but might cover the bypass. Can you guys tell me whether you have a PPO plan or an HMO plan?
  19. Does any of their sexual behaviors "really" affect how they handle their offices? Have there been any discretions in that arena? I could care less who is screwing who as long as it is consentual (sp?). I care more about how the affair or whatever you want to call it affects his or her duties of the office they perform. Do I agree with the shenanigans committed by past and present elected (appointed or court order) officials? NO I think it is morally wrong. Should we as the public know every detail of their personal lives including who screwed who, again as long as it was consentual? No I certainly don't want them to know what goes on in my personal life past or present. The bottom line is as long as it doesn't break any laws who cares who screwed who? I have so many other things to get my dander up regarding our elected officals. Global Warming Arctic Drilling for oil High Gas Prices Education suffering Social Security dwindling away Trillion dollar deficit Health care outrageous Patient's Bill of Rights The War in Iraq Halliburton getting all the rebuild contracts The aftermath of Katrina and how that was handled These are just some of the things that keep me pissed off at the government. Not who they slept with or who they didn't sleep with. Also, it is NOT our place to involve ourselves in that aspect of their lives people. The only ones that should be concerned about that is their significant others and their families. I want to state again that "as long as it does not break any LAWS I don't care who they screw or have relationships with." Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
  20. Lindsey: I just sent you a PM. Please do take care of yourself. That infection is nothing to sneeze at. It can easily get out of hand. Praying everything turns out fine.
  21. Today's plan accomplishment: I will follow my meal plans (1200 to 1500 Calories per day). (I am recommitting to this plan of action every day. It is so hard to stick to this goal but I am making a valient effort. Will attempt to journal every morsel that goes into my empty cavern.) Breakfast: Missed ( I know that was bad of me ) Lunch: Bologna sandwich on whole wheat bread w/ mustard 20 oz of Plum Tea (Arizona Green Tea) Dinner: 3 oz of Pork Roast, 1 cup of mashed potatoes w/ pepper, 20 oz of Plum Tea (Arizone Green Tea) I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (Today I walked about a 1/2 mile. Hopefully I can get more motivated tomorrow.) I will lose at least 1 lb a week. (Not even gonna stress over this one for a long long time. Just gonna walk the walk for now and whatever I get is gravy.) I will drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. (Getting in the water is easy.) Positive reinforcement mantras: I will continue to eat healthy and hope to lose weight. I will continue to exercise and hope to lose weight. I will continue to be proud of myself with all the accomplishments to date.
  22. I had a 'feeling' 'hunch' but nothing substantial to tell me that my band had eroded. I was at the 18 month mark and several of my friends that got banded the same time were starting to erode (very peculiar coincidence). So for peace of mind I asked my band surgeon to do an Endoscope to rule erosion out. Some people do have symptoms but I was one that still had restriction, no pain, and no other signs or symptoms of Erosion. Since surgery to remove my band I have lead a normal life. No complications at all. My band doc put me on Nexium for the first 6 months to keep the stomach acid down while my stomach healed from the surgery. So far I have no issues other than I gained 30 lbs that I lost with the band. UGH!! He said he would consider rebanding me in the future if that is what I want. He said it could get tricky due to the scarring from the initial surgery, but he would consider it. He suggested I get a RnY instead because he thinks I would do better with that type of WLS. I am not considering any type of surgery at this point. I just want to have a normal life for the next 50 or so years. Of course as a woman I reserve the right to change my mind in the future. LOL!!
  23. Yes this is dating me some but I loved this one particular album of theirs. It was called "Transition". It was released in 1971 on Reprise Records. They don't have it in their vault. There was ONE song in particular I fell in love with. It was called "Two Little Boys". I have been searching all day long to try to find it and all I come up with is on Ebay where a few people are selling the Vinyl. I would like to find a CD but know this might be impossible. I have searched all the possible venues: Musicmatch, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, AOL Music and NONE of them have the track. I want it and I want it now. The song was written in 1902 as a poem about the Civil War and Kenny's version of it is very soft and mellow. It brings tears to my eyes just remembering it. Any suggestions?
  24. Today's plan accomplishment: I will follow my meal plans (1200 to 1500 Calories per day). (I am recommitting to this plan of action. I am committing to eating healthier and making better food choices. Will attempt to journal every morsel that goes into my empty cavern.) So far so good. Breakfast:Small bowl of Heart to Heart Kashi w/ 1/2 banana and 1/4 cup of milk Cup of coffee 16 oz of Water Lunch: 1/2 California Citrus salad with NO dressing; 1 cup of Potato Soup Two 12 oz cups of Hot Earl Grey Tea with Equal 16 oz of water Dinner: 1/2 California Citrus Salad with NO dressing; 1 med Apple 32 oz of water I will exercise for a minimum of 20 min a day 4 days a week. (Working on this today is not gonna happen. Does working my fingers while typing count? I will make an effort to at least get on my treadmill today. Tomorrow is anutha day.) I will lose at least 1 lb a week. (Not even gonna stress over this one for a long long time. Just gonna walk the walk for now and whatever I get is gravy.)
