Hey guys just wanted to lend my apologies to all of you fine people for letting the one thread get way out of hand. I had just as much to do with that as the starter of that thread. I sometimes forget that being such a strong willed person and not afraid to speak my mind can get me into situations that should be stopped long before they get to the point this thread did. I feel very strongly about the safety of the procedure along with the management of the patient whether there are complications or not after the surgery. Being an RN it really bothers me to see a surgeon not doing basic follow up by something as simple as a return phone call. Again I won't rehash the other thread on this post. I just wanted to send my apologies that it went as far as it did. I should have cut it off long before now. Thank you for all your support. This is what this site was set up for in the first place. Warm fuzzies all around. Let's all make a promise that it won't get like this again. I know I make that promise today. Megan really said it best that this is a place of caring, supportive, kind, loving people and it should remain that way. Ok enough said. Happy Holidays everyone. God bless us everyone.

OK every year I have a Christmas Tree Trimming party at my house. Last year we had a 9 ft tree. The year before we had a 13 ft tree. The only requirement is that you bring one ornament to put on the tree. Sorta leaving something of you behind. Nice sentiment I think. Anyway, I think the date will be either Dec 18th Saturday or Dec 19th Sunday. If you want to come and help just let me know. I live in Van Nuys, CA and can put up about 6 people comfortably if you don't mind sharing a bed with someone. Just a thought. Here is what the tree looked like last year.

I have most of presents bought but not wrapped. I do a Christmas Tree Trimming party every year. We have a huge area where we put our tree. Last year we got a 9ft tree and the year before we had a 13 ft tree. We invite lots of our friends over and the only requirement is to bring one ornament to decorate the tree with. Then we all decorate the tree together. SO much fun. Lots of libation as well. It is a wonder the tree gets decorated at all. Here is a pic of last years tree.

It might be of some interest to all of you that Margret went back and deleted the quote from Larry Fulton at the beginning of her post. Unfortunately for her I have it printed off. So any changes she makes are moot at this point. Very interesting. Isn't this development??? And the poor thing keeps deleting this post.

Somehow this keeps getting deleted. I wonder why??? The more Margretr tries to delete this post the more I am going to undelete it. I sent her a PM stating this fact but yet she keeps deleting it. OK for those of you that thought this thread was deleted I restored it cause there is just too much good info here. If it gets deleted again I will restore it again. In the meantime I will print off the info from this site in case we need it later.

Dr. Billy my follow up surgeon charges $300 and that includes the consultation and two fills. He does not charge for an unfill if you are too tight. I know everyone is different and some are more expensive. I don't know where you are located. Dr. Billy is in Ventura, CA. He takes everyone whether you were banded in Mexico or not.

Leatha: Don told me that they do teach the aftercare issues but they can't regulate what a doctor does once they are qualified to insert the band. So a surgeon can say yes I have something in place for aftercare. Inamed has nothing in place to check and see if in fact the surgeon is telling the truth about having anything in place or if they do in fact follow through and maintain the aftercare on a consistent basis. So Inamed will tell us they teach it or advise the doctors have it in place but Inamed does nothing to inforce the issue. Did I see you say 8 TIMES A DAY? That right there would turn me off. This liquid Vitamin I take is once a day. Works great for me.
