  1. Took my bandages off today and had a shower - boy did that feel good - still have some shoulder tightness and one incision is a little tender but only had surgery Tuesday so not to bad.
  2. Just had surgery yesterday so the preop diet is fresh and yes the first few days were very hard but it does get better. I was not allowed any food only protein shakes - stick with it - remember the goal!
  3. Had surgery yesterday - no real pain - I would say a little pressure but all good. Was very nervous yesterday and arriving at the clinic did not help I would say. Got to clinic to find out I was having a surgeon that I had not even seen. I had researched all surgeons at the clinic so not a huge deal but was very nervous already so didnt help. Then the iv did not go in easy but I am banded - even had a little tomato soup today!
  4. Yep I am tomorrow at 10 am - worried I am making the right decision - will be happy when it is done - not more doubting myself !
  5. That was me only a few weeks ago - alot of money and scary to think you are "wasting" it on yourself. You cannt be successful if you dont try!, I am having my surgery Tuesday - still scared but committed to try my very hardest.
  6. As you said this site has many stories of people losing a lot more then that but there are stories of those who gain everything back - as we have all been told many times - the band is a tool. As far as time off - I have never heard of anyone needing that much time off? I am just having my surgery next Tuesday back certainly am not expecting that. I think if you are not happy with her and have other options for a doctor you should go talk to them. If you are uncomfortable with the doctor from the start you will be anxious throughout the whole procedure
  7. Thank you for your supporting words - love being able to have a conversation with people who understand and "get" why we are doing this - yes we will get through this and be better for it !!
  8. I dont think so - not on my list
  9. as crazy as it sounds I to am most worried about getting that iv - never seems to go well in the past
  10. my allowed items are water, sugar-free kool-Aid or crystal light diet soda low calarie flavoured water black coffee and plain tea - and 5 bottles of diabetic boost
  11. March 12th is my date and I am on day 4 of Boost liquid diet, which adds up to only 900 calories - feeling completely life less today with head ache etc. but this will pass
