  1. I am down 35lbs since I was banded 4 weeks ago today but I am still having some pretty serious pain in my left shoulder. Could that still be related to the CO2? I sometimes have it when I feel gassy in my stomach. The dr's office thinks I could still be eating to fast but I am very cognizant of how many chews I need before I swallow. Has anyone had the pain for this long? I have a very high pain tolerance but if this doesn't stop in a couple of weeks then I am getting this thing out of me. Thanks in advance!!!
  2. Dr Lunfi did mine on 2/11 out of Mercy. I just saw him today for my post op. He is awesome.
  3. I thought the surgery was going to be the hard part....The bloating and gas I have is intolerable. My incisions do not hurt at all but the gas pain sucks. Is there anything else I can do besides walking around? I have had 2 cups of chicken broth today and that has aided a little bit.
  4. Good!! I just passed my barium X-ray and just drank some water and apple juice. They are going to give me some broth and then I should be on my way home. Everything has been perfect so far!!!
  5. Out of surgery. It was a success. Definitely sore but ready for the journey ahead. Thank you all for your kind words!!
  6. Best of luck to you too! I don't think I will sleep at all 2nite.
  7. Thanks for your input. I'm definitely looking forward to the next step in the band process.
  8. Well tomorrow at ten is the big day. I am getting my band after 4 years of debating whether or not I need it. I am definitely nervous for the surgery. I have never been out for surgery. I am completely prepared for the rest of the journey mentally but I am anxious for the surgery tomorrow. Does anybody want to share what the day of surgery was like for them? Any input would be highly appreciated.
