  1. Yes your absolutely right doggielover. I think it's insane to do that.
  2. Ask your Dr for free samples, like said above. You need to get help asap. Good luck!
  3. I have family in Ottawa, Ontario & I heard that everyone who wants the band is going to Chicago, and have many regrets due travel costs and inconvenience.
  4. What a great job they did, you look great! Have fun shopping
  5. I was always told everything in moderation, not me. I do good for a month trying to eat healthy, then I start my period, and have my chocolate cravings, convince my self I deserve a break, and there goes my diet. I've been on this rolacoaster as long as I can remember. I'm an emotional eater, I come from an Italian family we celebrate everything with food, big portions, and I grew up thinking food is comfort, I know it's wrong I just don't know how to fix it. This is it for me this band HAS to work.

  7. Thank you all for the great advice.
  8. can you drink after being banded? I'm not much of a drinker, but I like to have a margarita once in a while, you know during girls night out
  9. Same question for you was it Dr Stevenson?
  10. As I mentioned I'm going to a seminar on the 16th ...but still haven't picked a Dr for the band yet, wondering if anyone knows a good trust worthy Dr. I've heard a lot of horror story's.
  11. Good luck, keep us posted.
  12. I've read some posts about maintaining the band after goals are reached, do you keep it in or not ? Does everyone end up having plastic surgery/tummy tucks? lm 40 things are not where they used to be lol. If everything works out for me this surgery will be out of pocket, so now I'm also having financial worries. Is this decision difficult or I'm i over thinking this?
  13. Than you! I've been hearing a lot about gas pain is that after surgery, or throughout the weight loss?
  14. You look great! Good job.
  15. I'm really considering getting banded, I'm attending a seminar on the 16th. I have to say its been very helpfull reading everyone's post &thank you all for that. I've been overweight my entire life, I was in a really bad car accident last jan. I broke both legs, it was very hard on me last year, but by the grace of God I made it. So now I've been gaining more weight than ever, I can walk not for long & I know loosing weight would benefit me in a lot of ways. On the other hand my husband was in a car accident 5 years ago & needs to wear prosthetics, so needles to say I take care of the household. So my first question is how long has it taken everyone to get back into their normal routine? & will I need someone to take care of me for a few weeks? Just wanted to say hello & introduce my self. Thank you!
