  1. I know! It is so great hearing from the bandster veterans!!
  2. Thanks! That was easy enough!
  3. My husbands insurance sucks overall and I was wondering if anyone has this insurance and had any luck with approval.
  4. Leatha, Where did you get your surgery done?
  5. I hear about things getting stuck and was wondering if food gets stuck when there is no fill in it. I have heard of some people taking a break and getting completely unfilled, so I was curious. Thanks
  6. Leatha, this is a stupid question, but if the band is stiched in, what makes it slip up or down?
  7. Ana, What do you eat in a normal day?
  8. Thanks to everyone who has given a reply. It helps to know the somewhat long-term effects of the band. I know that it is different for everyone. Congrats on all the weight you guys have lost!
  9. Thanks! That really helped!
  10. I am new to the lapband world and am in the process of trying to get ins. approval. Anyway, could somebody explain what pbing is?
  11. I am looking into having the band, and I come to this site every night. I hear alot of stories from the past year or two, but I am interested in hearing from people who have had it 3 or more years. I am wondering about the weight loss or gain. Also, how often do you get fills, this many years out? I hope there are some people on here who have had theirs this long.
  12. Hi, I am new to the site. I am having my lap band with Dr Bauman. If anyone has used him please let me know how you liked it. Thanks!
  13. Hi, Cheryl. Yes, I went to a seminar last week. I couldn't believe how many people were there. The room was completely full and people were standing in the hall listening, because there were no more chairs. Unreal. I have heard some great stories also and some horror stories. But, I guess that is with anything. I am now in the process of getting my insurance stuff together, you know proof that this is medically needed. And, if they approve it, it is a done deal, I am gonna have the surgery. If they don't I will probably get set up on payment plans and have the lap band anyway. Keep me posted on your decision! LeAnn
  14. Hi, I am new to the site. I am struggling with the decision of whether or not to have a lap band. My BMI is 43 and I feel like crap all the time. I am way too young to feel this old! Anyway, I am wondering about long term. I have done enough research that I know this is just a tool and not a total solution. Just let me know how ya'll like it. :help:
  15. HI, I am new tonight also. I am not sure how these chat things work, I am computer illiterate. Anyway, I am considering lap band. Any comments, negative or positive. I am struggling with this decision.
